I just finished watching this on Netflix, its a true crime story. I binged all 8 episodes and just pulled my jaw up off the floor. If you haven't heard of Betty Broderick, please do check this out. I also suggest looking her up, cause there are so many more details that didnt make it into the show.

It literally has everything FDS focuses on helping women avoid in it...the numerous red flags from the very first date, the giving up on personal dreams to financially and emotionally support a man through both medical and legal school to become a highly successful, wealthy, cheating, gaslighting, manipulating, emotional abusive LVM.

He divorced her for his secretary half his age, and because he was a powerful lawyer he had all the connections to screw her over...had courts believe he achieved all his success on his own and shes just being a gold digger, that her contributions early in their marriage were insignificant so she doesnt deserve anything, got full custody of her kids (she had 4 children. He refused to use contraception, and kept her continually pregnant...she was actually pregnant 9 freaking times), had her put in a mental hospital, convinced her friends and family she was crazy and turned everyone against her. He pushed her so far she snapped and he and his new wife (who was a pickmesha on a grand scale) ended up paying the ultimate price for it.

I promise I didnt give anything away....they lay it all out in the first episode..its the progression of the madness that unfolds that you really, really need to watch. But..if you're trying to have a good day, put it in watch later, cause I promise you, this show will piss you off. Its not entertainment, is a case study.

btw, Christian Slater did an amazing job in the role of her husband...too good. I know its just acting but Im going to have a very hard time seeing him without getting annoyed with his stupid smug face after watching this show, it was that infuriating.
