Omg! I thought I was crazy about a year ago when I saw a similar narrative on Twitter. This girl posted a video of a surprise she did in which she used all the rooms in her house to designate a different holiday in each one. Her boyfriend was in prison and when he got out, she didn’t want him to miss any holidays.

Everyone was praising this behavior and calling it pure unconditional love and I felt like such a bitch for thinking, “If I’m capable of loving like this, why the fuck would I be with someone who consistently gets into trouble and not being around to meet my needs as a partner was the collateral damage?”

I hate the whole “stick with him” attitude. Why should I spend perfectly happy days being miserable because my partner fucked up his own life? Why do I have to stick it with someone who isn’t deserving of me?
