New user here, widowed 2016, divorced 90s, was married for 25 years, so it's been over 20 years since I dated anyone. I'm a frequent commenter, so some of y'all might have seen me. FDS seems primarily geared toward younger women, and that's great, I wish I'd had it when I was in my Super Pickmeisha days (cringe!), but better late than never.

Dating when older is a whole different ballgame. There is the question of dating forever, marriage at all, living apart together, finances, kids, career, and quite often, caring for older parents. There's also the question of sex as well as menopause, and older men especially wanting a nurse and a purse.

I'm never going back to OLD so that's out, way out. I was a nurse and a purse for my older now-late husband, but never again. He was a HVM, and it was my honor to take care of him to his last breath, til death did us part. That said, I'm financially doing well, have no kids, own my own home, and have no kids, so I'm a catch. I've also lost 170 lbs over years and years, have leveled up a ton that way, and am working on losing the last 100 lbs. I'm 250; I'd like to be 150.

I want to know what older women here on FDS look for in dating a man. Thanks!
