Hey ladies!
I've been using an interesting method to analyze men and their behaviours, so far it's been very successful. A couple months ago, I was listening to a Ted Talk called "How I hacked online dating" by Amy Webb. She's not entirely FDS friendly, but her experiences are very interesting and may ring true to a lot of you. Anyways, she mentioned something that really piqued my interest. She put together a spreadsheet filled with all the criteria she had for men. This was to help her sort through all the 'trash' found online.
Feeling inspired, I learned some basic functions on Excel and tried putting together my own version. I made three sections. The most important criteria worth 75 points, those of medium importance worth 50 points, and those of least importance worth 25 points. After putting down as many things I could come up with, I made a general list with space to indicate whether that data point has been fulfilled.
A "y" indicates Yes, and a "n" indicates No. I used "If" statements to calculate the points given for each trait. If a criteria of primary importance received an "n", 225 points would be deducted, meaning that the guy I'm dating/talking with will have to make it up elsewhere.
If 30% of the criteria is met (meaning most of the criteria is still unknown), then I will consider going on a first date. 40% needs to be met for a second date. 60% for a third date 80% for a fourth date or more 90%+ I considered somewhere close to a HVM
**I would however like to note that I am still in the process of refining everything, as I realised that things like 'being respectful' aren't entirely worth making up for if not present, and I would encourage everyone who wants to try it to consider that as well.
Here's what mine looks like:

If interested, the functions I used are: IF statements, SUM, PRODUCT, COUNTA, and Conditional Formatting and VLOOKUP (these two are optional). I assume this is also possible on Google Sheets if you don't have excel.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback on this. I understand that this may seem excessive for dating, but it has helped me put feelings aside when analyzing men (something I personally struggle with) and it might be a cool project since we're stuck indoors :) thanks for reading!
