If you want a complete stranger to stop and give you the time if day, call the phone company.

It’s Facebook messenger. I do freelance work and clients are often referred to me on Facebook so I do accept friend requests with a certain number of mutuals that appear to be industry related. This was a stranger to me, asking me to stop what I was doing and give him my company. This may be a generational thing that people my age call ignoring someone “not giving them the time of day” and back in the 80’s and 90’s, before everyone had a cell phone, you would call the phone company when you needed the exact time to set your clock or device.

He asked me to take time out of my day to entertain him then proceeded to mock the expectation that one would want to chat or have a phone call before meeting an internet stranger. I am not going to waste any more time after this bouquet of red flags.
