Most of us are slowly starting to try to put ourselves back out there and I agree that one of the best ways to meet HV friends (and maybe a HVM) is to start socializing and find hobbies/activities to attend that you are genuinely interested in.

But...there is an influx of LVM that are invading professional events and spamming my business' website as well as my Facebook marketplace listings pretending to be "friendly" or pretending to be serious customers... and quickly the mask falls off and they're asking me "r u single" etc

it's worse than usual as far as getting approached and catcalled when I run errands. I'm getting more DM's from male classmates and strangers, more phone calls from blocked numbers (you can see them in your call logs and the one has the same unique area code as an LVM that always used to call me that I blocked over 1.5years ago)

please especially be aware of this if you are running a yardsale / small business or trying to list anything in marketplace... my mom and dad use marketplace all the time and my dad has a Facebook page for his business and never had thirsty DMs. I would advise you to avoid using those types of advertising completely, or make an account just with your business logo and the business name rather than your own face and name.

they just have to shoot their shot, and they have no qualms about harassment and wasting my time. one bald dude pretended to be a customer and then came at me about dating and I just crept on him and no surprise, he frequently whines online about how he is single, miserable, and broke, you know all the Textbook dusty lvm stuff, and it's all more proof to me that FDS is cannon.

try not to let the LVM's prevent you from going out and socializing or networking, just be mindful that even more of them are infiltrating these spaces online and in person, pretending. try to just focus on the purpose of the event itself, and try to meet higher value female friends to hangout with and discuss your dreams and ideas with. I am not saying to avoid the men or anything like that, be yourself and do the event, but just beware of LVMs crawling out to the farmers market, higher end places, and unrelated activities that they normally don't bother with rather than using OLD and dumpy bars to find mates.
