Men create these impossible beauty standards. Women try and many of them succeed reaching those standards. That attracts many men and women can pick good looking and kind men. Instead of bettering themselves inside outside and making themselves look more desirable bc that would take lot of effort and time, LVM will try to dismiss our beauty by calling it fake bc we use tools to emphasise our beauty or we use looksmaxxing.

What's the lesson here? That it's okay to use our tools to maximise our looks and beauty. Though we shouldn't heavily rely and feel anxiety without wearing it it's okay to wear makeup. I used to be afraid of wearing makeup bc I didn't want to be called a "liar". But that's not true especially if you use makeup right (like don't change your whole face with it).

Also LVM will try to shame you for anything that might better your looks. For example they will shame you not to wear bras bc that hides the "sagging" of your breasts while they don't know what's the difference between sagging or natural breasts bc they only know bolt on breasts that they saw in porn.

Men will criticise everything to shame you and hold you back from maximising from your looks bc they know that that's important in society in order to be respected. Even though that's fucked up.

So go ahead and maximise your looks if that makes you happy, there's no shame in that :)

Exactly correct. They refuse to put effort into improving themselves in any way (spiritually, physically, mentally) and have nothing but disdain for those who seek to evoke and take pride in themselves.

Maybe he thinks your beautiful without Make up? Maybe he doesn't understand why you feel you need it?

Men can very well prefer women who have "high-standard" look but not prefer made-up women. Makeup, wigs, and weaves do not automatically translate to high standards of appearance.
”why does it bother you so much that a woman take pride in how she looks. Why do you care so much about why she wears makeup/extensions?"--That's not a reason to categorize a man as LV...it's two questions.

The first question is poorly formed. Taking pride in your appearance does not have to mean altering your appearance through the use of makeup, wigs, and weaves.

I don't wear makeup because for me it's a waste of time and money and I find more value in bettering the appearance of my skin rather than covering it up.

The answer to the second question is really what you're looking for. Let him answer that question and then make your judgement. The most important thing here is to remember that many men have disdain for women no matter what we do. Whether a particular guy prefers natural or (for lack of a better word) manufactured beauty does not determine his status as low or high value. It's WHY.

And what's with this trope of women who don't wear makeup or weave being low-maintainence? Sis... My natural hair is high-maintenance. Keeping my skin and body right is high-maintenance...I think it might even be higher maintenance than just covering it all up with makeup and wigs and surgery and shit 🤷
