Men suddenly know the difference between actual work and “sex work” when it comes to the women in their lives or themselves… lots of them even understand that a kid can flip burgers or clean toilets and that it’s different to have their bodies sold and exploited for sex

They still hate these women though. They hate that they make money with it. They hate that they sell their bodies. They hate them and shame them left and right every chance they get . The only supporting thing they actually do is paying those women bc these men are pathetic. The violence sex workers experience is horrifying. Men hate them too. I suppose the only reason they „support“ them is bc most are afraid to get caught if they just rape a women. Afraid to get caught, not afraid to do it (there was a survey about that I believe)

And look, I don’t think sex workers should be shamed (but let’s face reality, they always will be) nor that they should be punished by the legal system. However, sex work should not be glamorized or pushed as a viable career to young girls (a la “make an OF when you’re 18 and earn $$$!”). A job should not put you at risk for STDs, rape, or murder. There’s no OSHA for sex workers. There’s no worker’s comp, 401k, PTO, overtime, and health insurance for sex workers. THAT’s the difference between a 9 to 5 and sex work. Like, seriously, the whining that “working a 9 to 5 is sELLiNg yOuR bODy” is pathetic.

Not a single one of these men would actually encourage or even approve of a female family member going into sex work. Sex workers want to cope and delude themselves into believing the men who buy sexual access to them are decent human beings who fundamentally respect women. They don’t. In the minds of these men, sex workers are a subclass of women, “sluts/whores”, who exist to provide easy access to sex, performing whatever degenerate sex acts they find too demeaning for the more respectable civi women.

How many of these men would ever consider having a long term romantic relationship or marriage with a sex worker? <1%, if that.

The only men that ACT as they're opposed to this type of thing are the extreme religious nuts and that's only performative. They secretly want a large supply of sex workers for their own consumption and that way they can secretly use the sex workers when they want to and then trash talk the women in the next breath.

But yeah, you would think that the near universal support by men of something like this would cause feminists to take a closer look as to why the patriarchy would support such a thing but they don't. I'm going to spend every bit of time and energy that I have trying to get women like this to think more deeply on this subject and convince them how wrong they are to always support it. I damn sure am not going to just roll over and play dead with an issue like this and stand by while women's rights are decimated even more.
