Change it, or don't. It makes literally no fucking difference. Become Mrs Butts or stay Miss Jones or reinvent yourself entirely as Ms Jones-sucks-Butts, who cares? You aren't making any statement about your empowerment because nobody in the world gives a shit. This is the kind of irrelevant fluff that modern feminism is obsessed with, because it distracts women from making a clear-eyed analysis of whether the marriage is likely to be damaging or uplifting for her.

International Women's Day/General "Celebrations of Women"

Great, a day where we get highlighted as "other" and so pathetic we need to be celebrated like sad abused wildlife. A day when libfems get to publicly moan about how hard done by we all are because a man wolf-whistled at them once, while corporations everywhere salivate at the prospect of being able to put a pink banner on their homepage, highlight a few of the women who work for them, and call it a wrap. Funny how the celebration never comes with a bonus cheque, isn't it?

This is drivel and not worth a second's thought. That said, the day I see the CEO of General Electric call himself a "boy boss" in a major publication, I'll retract it.

Gender Identity

While I completely understand wanting to "opt out of" femininity and all the associated bullshit by self-identifying as something else, it doesn't solve any of the actual problems women face. You think predators and rapists are discounting you because you consider yourself "not a woman"? Take all the testosterone you want, but you're still 5'3 and physically weaker than most men, even those who pop on a dress and say they're a girl. This shit was dreamed up by men, for men and every second we waste arguing the toss about it with them is a) a massive distraction and b) delightful to them because it's supplying attention. Other than fiercely protecting our sole access to places we might be vulnerable, just ignore it entirely.

Public Workplace Targets/"Making STEM/Tech/Finance etc More Accessible For Women"

This shit is not your friend. It's the equivalent of the male feminist - sounds good if you're only half listening, but will fuck up your life. Try being taken seriously in a man's industry when every halfwit with a dong in the place thinks you're a token hire. Try doubting your own worth if you half suspect you may in fact BE a token hire. My strong advice to any women in these fields is to not be seen engaging with any of these initiatives the company may be running, because it benefits THE COMPANY'S IMAGE and NOT YOU. Do NOT be "the face of female commodities broking at JP Morgan". You are not a "female broker", you're a "broker" and your time is better served aggressively negotiating a better pay packet like every other, uh, "male broker".

Is Makeup Feminist? Is Pink Feminist? "It's My Choice!"

"Is scratching my balls on the sofa all evening feminist? It's my CHOICE to fiddle with my willy!" Do you think men pause for one second to think whether any given activity, option or whim fits some kind of "approved structure" before they do it, or feel the need to justify anything they do as "my choice"? They don't have to fit anything, or justify a damn thing. You don't either. Stop giving energy to this utter bollocks.
