"Never apologize for the space you occupy in this world."

Omg, this reminds me of this one time when my family was getting our picture professionally taken. I was about 12 years old, my brother was around 10, and at the time we were either about the same height, or I was a bit taller, I don’t exactly remember. The photographer had my brother stand up on a box so he could look taller than me, and I remember being lowkey pissed about it. Like why was it important that my pre-pubescent brother be taller than his older sister in a picture? Today he’s quite a bit taller than me, which is what I expected to eventually happen anyway, I just never got the point of elevating shorter men to make taller women appear smaller. Nobody can control their height and there are many short men and tall women in this world, who shouldn’t be made to feel ashamed of their heights! Its so insulting and sexist.
