No female friends?

I read an article not too long ago that the Bumble app has a friendship option. I think it said that there were three different modes that you could switch between: dating, friends, and business/networking. The friends one will only show you people of the same gender that are also looking for friends and I think you can filter by things like age and distance. You should check it out! I was thinking that it's a great feature to offer since so many people have to chase their careers all over the country.

In this case I think the best way to deal would be to find some gal pals to get your socializing fix! 😁

I work in a male dominated field.. I've found some of my best female friends are the wives of my male coworkers. it puts me in weird situations. but way fewer bad situations than just settling for men as friends.

They need to

1.) realize I'm not going to steal their man

2.) have some values in common. we all like gardening and have kids. these are things I can ask their husbands what their wives are up to. if we seem to have common values.

The rest is history. Took a couple years to build those relationships,.. but they are some of the best friendships.

You can join a book club, yoga class, or a volunteering organization, as these tend to be welcoming to women and not heavily dominated by men. Any type of community such as the above examples has potential to building friendships from commonalities with other women

There are plenty of groups on meetup.com of women in different age groups who just want to hang out and make new friends

Join a gym ! I have met so many great women and made such great friendships at the gym.

especially if you go in the morning before work. It’s a friendly crowd !

I work part time and there was a nice girl I just gave her my number and said "want to get together as friends sometime?" You gotta go out on a limb maybe join a club or volunteer

I can’t stress volunteering enough. I also recommend book meet-ups, sports, and maybe even taking some sort of classes - this way you’ll learn and also meet people!

Check if there’s some sort of speed dating for friends in your town. I’ve heard of it happening but it’s not everywhere.

This is where hobbies come in. Do what you enjoy in groups. Hiking, biking, knitting, reading, painting, cooking etc. these are all great ways to meet other people you can connect with. Meetup is a great place to start

It’s so easy to make friends with other women if you have the same interests and values.

I wish there was a way we could all connect with one another locally !!

I tried meetup and the women in the 3 groups that are most popular are the most Pickmeishas I've ever seen. I made friends with 2-3 and had to stop communicating cause I didn't want to undo all my hard work of leveling myself up.

One works 2 jobs, has a 1 year old that her unemployed husband refuses to watch while she takes care of everything including cooking and cleaning the house when she gets home... WTF I got exhausted listening to her

Another is single and loves penis too much, just thirsty and giving it away to whoever, but doesn't take care of herself.

The rest were all equally exhausting and I can't get with hanging out with women who aren't on my level. Is there a place to meet like minded female friends? I'm too cheap to get a country club membership... Lol

There is an app called meetup where people can chose to do activities with like-minded individuals. Maybe you can try and see if you click with some other women

I’m finding myself in this position too, as I still live in the city I went to university in while most of my friends have moved on. I’ll keep an eye on this thread for suggestions because I’ve been feeling lonely and I miss the companionship of female friends. It’s tough to make friends out of university, I’ve found.
