My favorite argument? Schools cater to female learning and young wild boys are ignored in the classrooms! How come men aren't stepping up and becoming teachers to "fix" this issue? Oh, because women need to bend and break to build men up from kindergarten to college.

My sister told me something gross today. My niece (8 years old) was harassed last year by a little boy in her class. It started with grabbing her hand and went as far as grabbing her privates "by accident." My sister was upset and they separated the kids. My niece had to go to a new classroom. This year, due to covid, they're all in one class. The boy has started harassing my niece again. He says he's in love with her, they'll get married, etc. His favorite color is red and she has a red lanyard, so he asked if he could have it. When my niece said no, he said, "someone is going to murder you one day." He used the word murder. My sister went to the school and they told her that he has a rough home life, etc. As if that matters??? That's his parents, the school's, and CPS's responsibility. No girl or woman should have to endure disrespect like that. Neglect is no excuse. He has to stay 10 ft away from my niece, but they're still in the same classroom. Whatever neglect this kid is receiving, however sad, does not mean my niece should put up with his harassment. I am proud of my sister because she is not accepting that as an excuse, although she does have empathy. She is teaching my niece to be strong but I'm worried for her.

Jesus Christ. That behavior is a glaring signal to get that little boy lots of intervention and help, because it is inexcusable. Which means, it can’t continue. Because it is unacceptable. Because it’s the result of an unhealthy home life.
In no world should the reaction be, “oh he’s being abusive because he’s coming from an abusive home, therefore his abusing a girl in the class is fine” ?? The reaction should be to stop! The cycle! Of abuse! Because it’s not fine!!
Ok, sorry for the rant. These types of excuses just really get to me.

I agree. As women, we are basically trained to turn the other cheek or accept their excuses. From childhood it begins. Yet, i don't recall any little girls from my youth who got in trouble for similar things whether they came from troubled backgrounds or not. It's infuriating. Luckily my sister recognized this and basically said as much to the principal.

That kid is lucky that your sister is so patient. Someone harassed my kid like that, I would slap the shit out of them lol

He has a rough life should not be something your niece ever needs to hear.
That's not her burden. That's his and his support system.
That's gross that the school would try to excuse his behaviors instead of working to correct them and prevent them and provide your niece support as well.

This is completely disgusting and infuriating! Honestly that boy needs to be expelled. It doesn't matter that he comes from a troubled home life. He has verbally abused and sexually assaulted a classmate. I don't give a fuck that he's 8 years old. He absolutely knows better. He told her someone will murder her one day because she told him no she wouldn't give him something he wanted and he went as far as to "accidentally" grab her genitals. That's verbal abuse and sexual assault in ANYONE'S book. A distance of 10 fucking feet isn't going to make that little girl feel safe.
[–]wolfie379FDS Newbie8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Young molester has to stay 10 feet from him? One critical distance I've read about is 22 feet - if a suspect with a knife is closer than that, a police officer with their sidearm already drawn and aimed won't have time to react and stop the offender if the suspect decides to attack.
Little monster needs to be kept a minimum of 6 feet (vertical) from your niece.

This is why I am child free. I just don't know why people want to bring kids into such a world

This is just a cope from entitled under achieving lazy men who are salty that hard working men and women outperformed them, and entitled parents who think their precious son, who they have never said no to in his life ever, is Gods gift to the earth and deserves all the best grades handed to him on a silver platter, no matter his actual capabilities and work ethic. My mom is like this, my brother barely even turned up to school, but then she threw a fit when he got mediocre final grades and made up all these conspiracies of how all the teachers hate him and deliberately made sure he'd get shit grades lol.
Never forget that school was designed to cater to boys and male learning styles. Children were never ever allowed to run amok in school, if anything schools were way more strict in the past than they are today. Funny how when boys outperformed girls in school people said that it's obviously because the boys are smarter than those stupid girls, but the second girls are given a barely even equal opportunity and they outperform boys, people are scrambling to make up the most ridiculous conpiracy theories about how it's not actually the boys fault for not putting in work, not listening, and not paying attention, it's actually because of some sinister feminist conspiracy to hold boys back. Men never want to take any accountability for their actions, they always look for groups of people to blame for their failures instead.

All of this. Absolutely.

Schools don’t cater to kids’ learning very well regardless of gender. In college, though, male students dominated every class with their incessant chatter and professors did nothing to stop it.

I saw that argument once. In my school I felt the boys were favored, but I went to catholic school taught by nuns

As someone with a degree in early childhood education and long hours in the classroom, boys are favored more at a young age. They’re the ones with the most learning and behavior problems by far and to keep the entire classroom around the same level they are catered most to. Especially if there are only 20 students to one teacher. An average girl student will not get nearly as much attention as a little behind boy student. Girls have less behavior problems and will adhere to routine more than boys. It’s much easier for girls to work together on a task than boys, as well, so when grouped more attention goes to the keeping the boys on task. I’ve had experiences with 1st, 3rd, and 4th graders mostly.

I will say that more boys are put into the gifted and talented early on, girls are usually put into it in later grades. However, the G.T. boys are almost always prone to behavior problems. They don’t want to work with others or do a task assigned because they feel it’s not on their level. G.T. girls are almost always wanting to work with others they see as less academically talented as themselves so they can pretend to be a “teacher”. We encourage working with others who are struggling because then the G.T. children practice explaining aloud problem solving techniques and their own reasoning strategies.

I have seen mediocre boys put into the gifted and highly intelligent girls being ignored... one girlfriend in specific, who was higly intelligent but kinda shy and quiet. Teachers are always so quick to gush over the "genius" of a boy, no matter how ridiculous this seems. (I noticed that also a lot of women do this with males btw). No one ever really cared about the real talents, especially if they didn't cause any problems like some boys did. There was this reealy stupid bully- type boy in my school, who was failing classes, and our teacher took him aside and talked a lot with him, because she assumed maybe he had depressions? Nothing ever indicated that he had any problems or was depressed, but good for the teacher for caring right? No, because in the meantime there were people with actual real problems and depression who were failing too, whom nobody gave a shit about. The school- system is not geared against boys, it is overall fucked for most people, but boys are still favored and profit from the prejudice of being seen as "clever" by default (Every boy who is ugly, a bit awkward--> ah of course, he is a nerd and that means he is clever. A boy who has no social talent? Yeah, he is just too intelligent to function with the average sheep people).

Btw. one of those "boy geniuses" wrote me a chat message that read something like "What are you talking about dude feeemales are thriving in our school- system". Yeah, not even sure where in the world this dude lives, lets assume he is US- American. We know girls are thriving in schools in comparison to boys, although boys are OBJECTIVELY favored and catered to and school systems everywhere are going downhill. What does this say about boys? The joke is on him. But we already know they have a bad reading comprehension, so no surprise he didn't understand our posts here at all.

Fun game: Turn this around, play the devils advocate against THEIR rights and watch them lose their shit. It doesn't even have to be about something really important, just say something against video games, or their holy porn, for example.

Argue every man should have a vasectomy since it’s a reversible process if they don’t want kids. Watch them suddenly realise why it’s wrong to police bodies.

That's a good point, why shouldn't they have to? Especially since they claim themselves that they can't control their urges anyhow and young sperm is best, whereas sperm- quality just goes downhill very fast when they age. This includes increased risks of birth- defects. They should collect and freeze sperm when they are young. then get the snip. Society would be better and not so many babies have to suffer. It's just BiOlOgY, see? Also this isn't even just a bit as inhumane as forcing women to be unwanted breeding vessels, risking their health and life, and producing new life that is bound to suffer.
Btw, just in case it isn't clear, I am JuSt JoKiNg, okay?

While this holds a lot of truth , let's not pretend this is exclusive to white men, growing up in latin America my uncles and neighbors believed that rape wasn't possible because a womens vagina would basically shut down and not allow it and similar deeply backwards beliefs. Also my African American boyfriends family down in the south would alway pull the devils advocate card when it came to womens reproductive rights and identity politics . I've experienced this from every race of men .
