Me and my therapist bonded a lot, we love eachother and said so in a friendly way, but I also have romantic feelings towards him that I haven't disclosed yet (but I think he knows by the way I act with him). This being said, I have a few questions:
•Do you and your therapist ever text casually? I mean the "hey how are you doing?" kind of texts. If so, who initiates the conversation?
•Do you ever share memes or funny pictures?
•Have you ever sent selfies?
•How much does your therapist disclose about himself/herself?
•During sessions how much do you talk about stuff that's not related to therapy?
•Has he/she ever set boundaries on something related to transference? or anything that he/she thought it wasn't appropriate?
•Has he/she ever said it was ok seeing you outside therapy (on purpose, but not like a date)?
I don't think I can just ask him "hey is this normal?" and I felt the need to relate to people who are doing therapy like me. I don't know if this is relevant but I have BPD and I'm doing individual DBT.

Don’t go to any male doctor ever.

This reminds me of a male gynecologist that insisted on doing a pelvic exam (put his fingers inside me) before he would prescribe me antibiotics for a UTI. I’ve never had that done to me for a UTI, usually just a urine sample to check for infection and some questions about fever, lower back pain, etc. to see if the infection has spread. I still question to this day if there really was a medical need for that or if he just wanted to do that.

I can't even handle that post. Scrolling for literally 15 seconds pissed me off more than I can handle. That man needs to be FIRED IMMEDIATELY. No one should be commenting anything except "get a new therapist, he needs to be reported." And don't even get me started on the fact that she has BPD and told him that she "hates boundaries" and his response was "I would never set boundaries with you then." WHAT??? Boundaries are important in every therapeutic relationship, but never more important than when you're working with someone who has BPD and has said they're boundary resistant?
Holy fuck!!!!!!

Uhhhhhh this is so wrong on all fucking levels. I didn’t even read the comments because the post was enough. This man is taking advantage of her AND getting paid for it. Get the fuck out of here. Men have no shame and no integrity. They think with their crusty, New York street dildo dicks.

Thank you... I feel like an idiot for knowing this is wrong and yet feeling so dependent...

Honestly I feel like a good portion of male psychologists, social workers, etc...are in it for vulnerable pussy. There are some exceptions but I know at least one sociopath male who is now a therapist.

Yep. I've tried to think of ways to destroy his career but he's in a different state and I feel it's out of.ky control now.
