yes, they wont be my therapist nor SEXTOY bwahhh bwahhh what ageist, selfish, egotistical ,golddigger women its probably because am old, poor, and look bad but its not my fault reeeeeeeeeee
A major component here is the consent aspect. Most of the women in my life will ask for CONSENT before unloading their problems on me. "Hey, I'm going through something, can we talk?" "Do you feel like you have the mental space to hold something for me?" "Let me know when you're available because I would love some support" etc. Women ask for permission. Men just start unloading their issues on you with literally no warning or no regard for whether or not you feel capable of offering support at that time. If you don't ask permission you run the risk of either rejection or having someone half-ass support you. ALSO women seem to be better at judging WHO the appropriate recipient of emotional unloading would be. Best friends, family, a therapist, etc. Men unload on the weirdest people - coworkers they don't know well, cashiers at stores, their friend's wives, a neighbor...pretty much any woman they come into contact with.

“Hey, if you were emotionally available you’d get support when it was your turn”
Men: emotional support is useless. Men need to grow a pair. - one of the comments on that thread summarized.
