I have seen strategy coaches and mods post cautionary tales about OLD, telling us to avoid it all together. Personally, I’m of the opinion that OLD is a playground for predators as well but I still see posts about shitty experiences with apps. I understand that OLD is helpful for some women who have no other way of meeting new people, but is it really worth the risk, even when you apply the handbook? You only have to type in “OLD” into the search bar to know that there are too many variables you cannot account for when you meet strangers online. The risks will far outweigh the benefits, always. If this is an official stance, perhaps it could be added to the handbook, because quite frankly we already know the quality of men on there is almost always low, so why are we expecting anything different?

The mods just recently posted about rerouting the sub on the path it originally started. Let’s have less conversations about how depraved men are on OLD, and instead get off the apps and talk about strategies to transition into the dating scene IRL, now that restrictions are being lifted.
