Young girls seriously need to be taught the actual risks of casual sex (well, all sex, but casual encounters are the worst) in school.

STDs are much easier to transmit from penis -> vagina than from vagina -> penis
STDs have much more severe and longterm consequences for women. You could literally end up infertile or with lifelong pelvic pain from a ONS.
You're the one that's taking all the risks. 97% of rapes are never charged. So he could rape you, and there's a 97% chance he won't even be charged, and even if he is charged, the chances he will be found guilty are slim.
You are not going to be sexually satisfied. The amount of women who orgasm from PIV is only about 30% iirc, and probably lower for casual sex with someone you don't know well. Why are women willing to engage in casual sex with a man who's offering ~5 inches and less than 5 minutes of mediocre pumping??? If you're looking for attention and affirmation (which is actually what most women are looking for when they have a ONS) you can get that by having a man take you out for dinner and then saying goodbye at the door.

Seriously, we have men that are literally ordering women over to their house like uber fucking eats. Have some self respect and protect your health.

One night stands and even hooking up after knowing someone for a short time always made me feel like trash. I didn’t realize the voids I was trying to fill. I wish I would have found this sub many years ago but so grateful for it now!

I’ve learned that we tell others how to treat us with our own behavior. I wish that it wasn’t such a double standard as far as sexes go, but hey this is the unfair world we live in.

I think women should be able to do what they want. If they are super attracted to a guy and feeling it, they can choose to have sex with them. By asserting that its always a stupid decision it enforces the idea that women don’t experience sexual attraction/have sexual needs. Some women might need time to find a person attractive, others don’t mind one night stands and can fulfill their desires from them while saving all the hassle of a relationship. I will say, though, that men will tend to string you along and devalue you if you are “easy”—these are gross cultural standards. If you’re a woman and fed up with this, I think refusing to have one night stands is a good way to weed out all the sexist assholes who do only want you for sex.
