It's all about who controls women's bodies.

"I hate men" because they're trying to control my body and get something from it.

Men "hate women" because they can't control their bodies and get what they want from it.

It's the difference between saying that you hate robbers and you hate the people who have locks on their doors. Just not comparable.

Exactly. Not all hate is the same. People who think hating men is the same as hating women lack critical thinking. Murdering a serial killer is not the same as murdering an innocent child. So even then, “murder is murder” is BS. Context matters. History matters. Motivation matters.

I don't think men don't understand, they know exactly what they do. But even if a man isn't a rapist or murderer, a woman who holds men accountable for ANY of their male specific shitty behavior is a threat to them. Woman hatred most definitely comes from their inability to engage sexually/romantically with us. Or//and it’s the fear that men are being robbed in some way while women get all the advantages, all because society is waking one eye up.

I have never hated men until I was aware of the violence and the misogyny frequently attributed in men towards women. That hate even has some sensitivity and fear to it. It’s hard to uncover, but it’s there. I’m still really sensitive.

Honestly, this is one thing I wished people would understand about FDS.

Like when you hear people outside talk, most of them believe FDS is a hate group against men. And I can understand why. It's because most are men and can't relate to our thinking.

They don't understand that it's not "I literally hate men for being men". I mean, sure, every group has their extreme subgroups (Ever seen the babyhaters on r/aww?), but generally we mostly have a reason and background. However, we of course can't write an extra explanation to how we "actually mean it" every time on every post. (It's hard enough that r/TwoXChromosomes has to fight with that.)

I think we are all afraid of men, but isn't that a reason why we should talk about how we can defend ourselves? Like buying firearms? A lot of women I talk to are afraid of guns, but in truth it could possibly save their lives or at least make then feel safe. I know it worked for me. Felt so much better staying on my own with one. Truth. My boyfriend fully agrees that men as a whole are to be distrusted until firmly proving themselves otherwise. My boyfriend describes himself as half female because he’s so not your typical male. He didn’t even know what an incel was, he’s had problems finding and keeping girlfriends just because he’s so different and maybe a little overly enthusiastic early on (I love it). He is so gentle and innocent and cares so much about my every feeling. Maybe if more men would be like him they could also get a devoted girlfriend. There are so many women out there just waiting for a man they can trust won’t harm them in some way or harbor dark secrets or whatever. I think if I hadn’t met a man that is so in tune with women on every level, I was going to be done even trying with men. My best friend is also a gay man who is very much aware of what women face on this planet on a daily basis. I’m very blessed to have these amazing men in my life who get it. Even my dad said all men are pigs haha. Well I can say that’s not true because my bff and bf are definitely anything but pigs but I get where he’s coming from. It’s getting worse as they glom onto each other and their toxic belief system through online communities. Best to find a guy who is really into a specific hobby that doesn’t involve the internet. It’s become a haven for these ignorant misogynists.
