It was never for men.
Ever.

It's incredibly obvious for modern TV and movies as well. They're still casting cream of the crop men in top form for movies, but I'm seeing a lot of different body types in women as well. What would have been considered chubby or fat or ugly 1-2 decades ago for movies. While I don't see anything wrong with body positivity, it should extend to men too, particularly in the film and movie industry. Otherwise it's just fostering even worse double standards of men. Already we know how women idolize some of these men and won't accept anything less, but now they're seeing female leads with similar body types to them getting romantically involved with these hunks in these movies.

Yea that's the thing. Body positivity for everyone would be great, and I understand that feminism is a much stronger movement so it's normal that they'll see progress first. The bigger question is will men get the same treatment. If we get the same, then great, all is well. If it stays as is, things are just more toxic than they were in the beginning.
