This is something I've started noticing recently.

One example is in dating. Women complain that men only want sex, not relationships. Men complain that women don't want sex, or when they do they try to get a relationship out of it. Both sides are legitimate positions to hold and there's nothing wrong with either of them. However, society (especially the internet) treats this issue like "the poor women just want love, and these awful creepy men are just trying to bone and then dump them"

Or, an example from this sub: Women report that they receive constant harassment and so it must be all or most men that perpetrate this harassment. Men report that they have never acted like that, their friends would never act like that, and they would call out their behaviour if they saw their friends acting like that. However, society pretty much accuses men of lying on this one. People say things like "statistically some of your friends are abusers", "if you've never called out your friends then you're just being willfully ignorant", etc.

Basically women's viewpoint on a gendered issue is taken as gospel, and men who have equally legitimate viewpoints are accused of not understanding the issue, not listening enough, or outright lying.

If you have any more examples, I'd like to hear them below.
