So, In Belarus, women cannot be executed according to the law. No clue why this is, but it is true.
Sources: Since March 1, 1994, women are ineligible for capital punishment and persons under the age of 18 at the time of the crime or over 65 at the time of sentencing have been exempt from capital punishment since January 2001 (http://www.levonevski.net/pravo/kodeksy/uk/009.html)
and " The death penalty can not be imposed: persons who committed crimes before the age of eighteen years; women, men who have attained to the day of the verdict of sixty-five years" (https://belhelcom.org/en/topic-material/death-penalty-belarus-facts-and-numbers) despite this, the media only focuses on women.
" In Belarus, you cannot sentence a woman to death — this is the law. But it is women who suffer most from death sentences." (https://dp.spring96.org/en/news/90861)
