Sorry, if this post comes out as low effort, but my question is that simple.

I don't think so, mainly because of two reasons:

  • (1) Men ask women out way more often than the other way around.

  • (2) Plus, I've heard plenty of my female friends complain about being approached by men and say they'd wish they were lesbian/bisexuals so they wouldn't have to date men.

I'd generally think (1) is due to traditional gender roles (TGR), but feminists have fought against TGRs that negatively impact women in the last years. So I suppose they haven't fought against this one, because there's nothing to fix.

Even if this were due to TGRs, this wouldn't explain (2).

So what do you guys think? Also, if you're a woman, I'd highly appreciate your input.
