I'll ask this here I'm not demonizing women our saying I don't have sympathy for there issues but hears an honest question. Is the lack of resources and empathy the reason that a lot of guys don't care our slightly care about women's issues

I don't think the majority of men realize or recognize that a lot of the issues that they face are actually due to their gender. If there is a male DV victim and he seeks a shelter and nobody will accept him, I don't think he is as likely to realize "oh shit, this is systemic sexism", as a female would in the equivalent situation. Men are taught that they are privileged and that they face absolutely no gender-based discrimination throughout their lifetime, but instead that all of their issues are due to individual circumstance. Reflecting this, women are taught that all of their issues are due to their gender, even in situation's where it is solely due to individual choice and circumstance.

The majority of men care more about women's issues than men's issues. Largely because we have been institutionally and systemically spoon fed feminist propaganda since youth, which is unawarely internalized. There hasn't been a single period in the whole of human history where men's issues were given the front burner. A lot of men fail to recognize men's issues because we have been essentially trained to not see them, to just power through life without complaint, protest or assistance.

If a man doesn't care about women's issues (I would argue that most "care", but not enough to waltz up on to your local women's shelter and volunteer), he likely won't care about men's issues either -- a lot of people don't care about social issues, and instead see life as an individualist. MRA's take up a very small subsection of society, if some of us don't care about women's issues, there are a couple of reasons why...

It is mostly women who oppose and defame our advocacy, which creates the "why care about your issues, if you don't care about ours?" mentality.
Women have a collective bias that favours women and have more of a "us vs you" mentality when regarding gender. Men are more egalitarian in their approach to thinking and therefor operate more as an individualist.
They don't believe that women have any particular gender-based issues that warrant advocacy in the first place. Or at least enough to warrant a full fledged movement or ideology behind it.
They see no need to advocate for women when their issues are already widely talked about throughout every sector of society. Unlike men's issues, everybody recognizes and supports them.

I understand the reasoning behind a couple of these. I fail to recognize that the majority of "issues" trotted out by feminism are specifically "women's issues". Most of them aren't gender-specific upon a close examination, and arguably can be considered more of an MRA issue due to our societal lack of self-awareness and recognition surrounding them.

Feminism has institutionalized, academic and political power. Anything that they deem to be a "women's issue" almost inevitably results in our social climate reflecting the feminist POV, being solely how and why women are affected by it, with men being left on the backburner of importance, they are just considered immune to facing the issue.

I'm speaking from a strictly western, first-world perspective.

It's not that men don't have sympathy about women's issues. It's the fact that most "women's issues" actually affect men as well, and often to a much higher degree.

Men are 9 times more likely to be the victim of a violent attack, but the rhetoric is about "violence against women".
Men routinely receive harsher punishments for committing the same crime as women, yet the talk is of reducing the number of women in prison.
Numerous studies have shown that women are more likely to be the perpetrators of domestic violence (and men the victim), but shelters are almost exclusively for women.
Men are raped by women at about the same rate as women are raped by men. But men's suffering is watered down to "forced to penetrate," and often he is told to "man up" or that he "liked it." If a child results, the rape VICTIM is forced to pay his rapist child support.

The list goes on and on.

I am sympathetic to anyone who is a victim of violence, and I don't care what genders they or their attacker are. I am strongly opposed to any attempts to add gender to a problem where it affects everyone. Gendering an issue just takes half the victims and says "too bad" and tells half the perpetrators that it's okay, as long as their victim is the "right" gender.

After I went through some things I felt that nobody cared because I'm male. It's not that I don't care, I do, I'm just not in a good place and addressing why takes precedence.

As a black man, I've had conversations with black women (including my SO) who seem to think that each trait is additive. When I bring up that black men are seen as bestial and more likely to die unarmed to cops or be disenfranchised by our academic system for this reason (black men are the lowest percentage of graduating physicians) it often falls on dead ears.

So when I extrapolate to the greater male experience, I find that there are many things ignored in men that are valid such as our emotions and our psychological wellbeing which seems to be cast aside. I've noticed this especially in the dating and relationships subreddits because one can easily juxtapose the scenarios of men and women and see the biased responses that run off of the principle of dismissing men. It is quite astounding.

I'm not saying that the patriarchy doesn't cause problems or men aren't privileged. I am saying that society as a whole can be improved if we acknowledge the emotions of men in a way we do for women.

Not really. There are women's issues I don't care about but those are ones that I can't empathize with, simply cannot relate to - stuff like women feeling genuine distress at being courted by an unattractive guy, or abusive relationships, etc. I honestly find it a little strange, alien even, that someone could care not care about issues based on how other people treat some other issue. Like, yeah, nobody seems to care about the problems I face and those problems are real, but other people's other problems are no less real for that.

I care about women's issue, I really do, but it's given so much attention and support already. Men's issues on the other-hand is very different. It's barely discussed, lack support and if you advocate for it, The MRM in general is often viewed as a joke or a reactionary movement to feminism rather than advocating for actual problems.

Another reason is the people advocating for them I guess. It's not that I don't care about women's issues, but it's hard to join a riot when they're burning down your house. If feminism focused less on demonizing men or excluding men, stop harboring misandry and think of good solutions that doesn't hurt men, maybe I'll consider joining.
