I think I'm done with Reddit, guys.

I was browsing and came across a comment from someone who said they were doxxed and that it wasn't bad. Which I disagree doxxing is extremely fucked up, but what really got me was the reply.

I'm glad it wasn't bad for you but apparently for you to actually learn something they should have done worse.

Which I reported but was told that didn't violate Reddit's content policy. Which just got me thinking about the site.

Like a specific mod who despite being a blatant misandrist and widely despised troll, is not only not banned, but is still allowed to mod several communities.

The fact places like fragile white/male redditor are allowed to exist, while the misandry subreddit was banned simply for suspicion of being a ban evasion sub.

The fact an admin came out and admitted that reddit rules don't protect white/male users.

The fact that BlatantMisandry can be squatted upon with the banner "Free speech isn't just for neckbearded mouth-breathing autistic virgins" and apparently admins think its fine.

As well as a myriad of other issues with this site.

So between many mods, admins, and a decent amount vitriolic users and subs I'm done with Reddit.

But I would like to thank u/a-man-from-earth, as well as the rest of the LWMA mod team, u/MRA_TitleIX, u/TheTinMenBlog, u/lightning_palm and so many of the other members in this community for all the amazing work you do, and for helping build this wonderful community. I hope it will continue to grow, and I wish you all the best.

I’ve just watched the first 7 episodes of the new season of Stranger Things. It’s okay, but it’s a bit 😬. I’m too afraid to talk about it in a post, but I think some of its underlying themes deserves attention attention in this sub.

Ugh. I was already sort of iffy on this film due to some questionable things the director said (in regards to the dinosaurs as comic book heroes and villains), but now it looks to be fully onboard the woke train. The Jurassic films had strong women from the get-go without pushing a feminist agenda down your throat, as did many other films and television shows of the time. Like the first two respective Alien and Terminator films, Buffy, etc. they all had strong and genuinely progressive portrayals of women and did so without forcing an agenda. These days it feels like whenever we hear about how a film or show has "strong women" it feels more like soulless corporate pandering than to genuinely empower and inspire. It's all about pandering and filling quotas these days, not genuinely empowering. Just concentrate on making a good film with good storytelling and characters, gender is completely irrelevant to any of that.

Like, I'm all for criticizing men who espouse right wing beliefs... but the post literally takes men and degrades them to a near fetishistic point. This is literally on the front page of reddit and I can't help but get the feeling like they'd rather spout hate on completely random average men and not anyone who has the power to make more charitable laws.

I've ranted about this before, but earlier when I was out eating on the TVs in the restaurant, one of them was showing a women's baseball game and it cut to show some women watching in the bleachers wearing shirts saying "The future is female." God how I hate this slogan. I'll never understand how this isn't blatantly misandrist, supremacist rhetoric and how it promotes equality and inclusivity. I've said before many times how it's comparable to a slogan like "white power" for white supremacists, in that both promote supremacy.

Gotta say how much I appreciate this sub. Had a pretty awful exchange on r/mensrights when I dared to disagree with a recent post. It ended with a huge pile on and one guy calling me r*tarded. I’m glad a place like this exists for more civil discourse and educated takes on men’s advocacy without all the reactionary BS.

I said it before here, but I'm in awe and disbelief over how many people (not surprisingly radical feminists) coming to Amber Heard's defense. They're just like rabid Trump supporters, blind loyalty to a terrible person even when there's so much evidence right before your eyes that this is a terrible, manipulative and abusive person.

Charlotte Proudman has been particularly disgusting and infuriating with her defense of Heard and how she's referring to the support Johnny Depp has been receiving as "himpathy." What a disgusting person she is and an insult to all decent women everywhere. Reading her Twitter posts, I feel like I'm reading the feminist equal of someone like David Duke.

The "MePoo" mocking name is hilarious to see being used all over social media, and definitely gives me a good chuckle. It's fitting though for sure. As I said before in another post in this topic, I'm glad to see MeToo getting some well-deserved criticism. How it destroyed due process, ruined innocent men's lives and made it easy for bad women to get away with false accusations and other crimes. Plus how it's made it so difficult for both male and female victims to come forward and still fails to acknowledge male victims almost all of the time. It's an extremely corrupt movement and I'm glad more people are coming to their senses about it.

It's so annoying how people are quick to assume you're a feminist, SJW, woke, etc. when you say you're politically liberal, progressive or left-wing. I'm staunchly liberal with the majority of my views and stances, but am no way at all woke, a feminist or SJW. Likewise people assuming you're right-wing, an incel, MRA, Trump supporter, etc. for bringing up men's issues and that men also experience hardships and difficulties. It's so stupid that overlooked and important issues affecting men have been politicized. I'm a liberal and hate how men's issues are constantly ignored and swept under the rug.

I filed _six_ months ago against five schools partnering with Verizon to offer a women-only scholarship and internship program. OCR's goal on this was to drag it out so they didn't have to stop it from going forward. They first tried to kick it to federal aid, which made no sense because it isn't a federal scholarship nor federal student loan. The issue at hand is explicitly covered in the Dept. of Ed. funding rules, and they know that it is within the jurisdiction of OCR.

Eventually, they caved and sent notice to the field offices. 5 schools were named. Philadelphia office almost immediately jumped into action and two schools in their area are under investigation now. The Dallas office somehow only picked one of the schools off my list, but there were two in their area. The DC office completely ignored that they had a school on the list.

I finally got Dallas and DC to recognize and file my complaint against the two schools they wanted to ignore. What the fuck though? How is it a thing that it takes 6 months after filing a very simple complaint (compared to most of mine) for OCR to even assign a case number? The reason they do this is so they can dismiss men's cases as moot if the program no longer exists or is over. Stalling is intention to dismiss.

I need 10 mins of their time to check if an email was sent out about a program. If they are a woman that is better, since this may have been sent out based on gender.

The school is partnering with Verizon to run a women only scholarship with a guaranteed internship at the end. Two schools that advertised it using university resources are already under federal investigation for violating civil rights law. If I can show the university advertised this program, it will almost certainly move to being a federal investigation. 10 mins and a copy of the email is all it would take.

The person providing info can remain anonymous. I just need the email, who sent it, and the timestamps. They can redacted their info if they want.

Not shockingly, feminists are blaming Amber Heard's actions and other women getting away with bad behavior not on feminism, but their favorite imaginary, non-existent boogeyman, the patriarchy. They'll never cop to the fact that their "activism" is what made it possible for someone like Heard to get away with bad behavior and actions in the first place and why other bad women have been getting away for so many years. Feminism has completely absolved women who commit wrongdoing of being properly punished.

The takes I’m seeing on abortion online are atrocious. Radfems are acting as if everyday working class men benefit from restrictions on abortion, when we most certainly don’t. All the men I know (except Dominionist types) are rightly horrified at what this means both for womens’ autonomy and the frequency of unwanted births. Working class men do not stand to benefit from abortion restrictions at all, and more of us are on board with fully legal abortion than radfems think.

Meanwhile, I know tons of Dominionist women in my life who are gleefully rejoicing with their male ideological peers over this horrifying development. This is because women are as capable of men of having atrocious, regressive views on abortion. If we want to fight anti-choice attitudes, we have to stop misdirecting blame and start treating Evangelical Christianity with the scorn it deserves. Don’t waste time, energy, and social clout blaming half the population when a decent chunk of that half of the population is on your side.

I got so mad today at work to the point I almost had a swearing fit when working on newstand we got the May/June 2022 issue of Strong (a women's fitness magazine) and on the cover it advertised an article about how sexual harassment affects workouts. Reading the article, want to guess which demographic that also experiences sexual assault and harassment that as usual got completely ignored? You guessed it, men. And of course, no mention whatsoever that men also experience sexual assault and harassment from women. But the kicker that made me damn near have a cursing fit at work and almost rip the magazine right there and then to pieces? This quote from one Dr. Samantha Wells which I actually wrote down because it's so ignorant and blatantly misandrist it's mind-blowing. Prepare to get pissed off:

"It is time that attention be paid to men. Men need to be made accountable for their actions. Men need to call out their friends when men harass women."

I mean, WTF?! How is this NOT a misandrist, bigoted statement? It's bad enough to continue to ignore that men also experience sexual harassment and assault, and that women also commit these crimes, but to generalize all men and saying attention needs to be paid to men and men need to be held accountable? No, it's abusers and predators who need to be held accountable and last I checked, both men and women fit this criteria. What about women who engage in this misconduct, should they not be held accountable or paid any attention to at all? This is the same kind of ignorant BS as the 2019 Gillette ad. Male and female abusers and predators alike both need to be held accountable and called out, as well as properly punished.

I was browsing MensLib today and saw an upvoted comment saying that the problem with “meninist/MRA” types is that they treat male problems like they’re “the real problems”, on top of also mentioning the whole “men are responsible for creating men’s problems” bullshit. I mean, what a fucking crime, right? For a movement to treat its problems like they’re “the real problems”, the ones that most relevant to them. Is there any movement that ever achieved something that didn’t treat the problems it was trying to address as “the real problems”?

The framework used by the majority of MensLib users, a feminist one, will never admit another framework that doesn’t treat women’s issues as the main issues. And I don’t even mean in a “men’s issues are more pressing than women’s issues”, but even like “I recognize that male and female issues are both equally important, but I’m choosing to focus my advocacy on men’s issues because this department is seriously lacking”. No, not even that is allowed. The only thing they’ll allow (and not even unanimously) is a movement full of people who believe the issues they’re trying to address aren’t that important. That these issues are just a footnote.

Their entitlement to other people’s beliefs/the framework they use to understand gender dynamics is simply infuriating. Don’t they see what the fuck they’re asking? That you can only advocate about men’s rights if you don’t take them too serious, because if you do your entire worldview is wrong?

I disagree with patriarchy theory, I disagree with the entirety of feminism, I disagree that women’s issues are more pressing than men’s issues in the west (not because they’re less important, but because they’ve been much better addressed, whereas we’re struggling to even grant genital integrity to male babies), but not even I would have the audacity of condemning women’s groups for treating their issues like a priority or pointing fingers and saying they should work with a framework that recognizes male issues as “the real issues”

I'm happy to see the MeToo movement getting some serious bashing and criticism as of late. Almost from the get-go they were an anti-male hate and smear campaign that exploited abused women for their cause and the Amber Heard debacle is making people see it for the fraudulent movement it truly is. It cares nothing for actual victims and has made it that much harder for both male and female victims to come forward and has made it much easier for female offenders to get off the hook. A new organization to help both male and female victims and hold offenders of both genders equally accountable needs to be started and also one that employs due process, which is another major downfall of MeToo, how they just eliminated due process altogether with their "believe all women" rhetoric.
