Only reason I'm posting here is because I was banned from Twox for disagreeing about something. And all I want to say to this topic is it's more likely that a lot of young women are being influenced more by other women than they are by men. "As a collective" men are supposedly abusive in this girl's mind and she's trying to be a champion for other, younger, women so they don't have to live the same misery she has. There's a lot of irony in there somewhere. Her misery and what she projects onto men as a "collective" is probably somewhat true but mostly imaginary. Everyone does this. We extrapolate to make sense of what we believe to be true, and then we look for evidence of it. Confirmation bias. If anything it's women like her that are detrimental to the mental health of other women.
I kept telling myself I never want to be one of those people who spends time online fighting this fabbed war between men and women, but here I am making this post. This isn't a war against women. I simply wanted to say that this particular woman, and anyone who gave her any time past that opening sentence, are delusional and ignorant people. Women or otherwise.

I struggle to think how people like this making blanket statements about men think it'll help fix the issue. If you want men to "get better," insinuating that these awful characteristics are intrinsic to their gender is just going to make sure they don't care.
The phrase "not all men" has been coined as a misogynistic dog whistle, but it actually has merit in conversations like these. Saying that I or other men are "the good ones" isn't a compliment.
