Some men on this sub stress the point that men in our culture are forced to show just their tough side and not allowed to be sensitive, vulnerable etc. Of course, they're not wrong. Everybody should have the chance to be as they want.

On the other hand, 'traditional' masculine traits are not toxic or a disease. The Brilliant Bob books mentioned in this article (I must admit I haven't read them) encourage boys to celebrate their masculinity. Also at other places, people, including mothers, are fed up with the idea of boys being defective girls, who can be cured if they only would admit it. What is the best attitude towards this issue?
