I’ve always said “liberal” feminism is one of the most dangerous form of ideologies that dehumanizes men. From 2001, when female senators wore burqas in congress to justify an invasion no Afghan asked for. To Hillary Clinton and other public figure females using “we’re doing this for women” as virtue signal to continue the war. To countries accepting 99% womenandchildren ™️ while leaving men to get slaughtered. To western feminists thinking every brown man is Rambo with military training and can fight against thousands of fighters who just defeated the U.S military. They are sick people, and the dehumanization of men (especially those of color) continues. To them a Brown man can never be a human being with thoughts, feelings, and opinions. A brown man to them is scary. He is either a sex object, a terrorist/thug, or a hashtag for virtue signaling. Funny they always claim their ideology is “pure” and that unlike “incels” they never harm anyone. From Emmett Till to the helpless Afghan boys, western (especially white) women and feminists have a lot of blood on their hands thanks to their dehumanization of men.

Not so different with other races. White, Black, Brown.

To them, men aren't human beings, not even animals. Just cogs in the machine, unworthy of personhood.

Very well explained. Never thought of this way honestly. In our country its exactly the opposite but much much worse in terms of parliamentary proceedings.

USA drone strikes often targeting unarmed civilians as long as they match certain "criteria". To match the criteria, you just needed to be an adult male appearing to use a communication device. Adult male civilians were killed in drone strikes often because the local forces found it preferable to patrolling the area.

Do not watch the video in the article unless you can stomach the sight of men being torn apart from explosions and writhing in pain. Most of the shots are from far away but it is a bit graphic nonetheless.

The American war machine is extremely ugly and inhumane, and the cynical self-interest of the powerful in charge of the military-industrial complex downright evil.

You could say that in a way, I have been watching this from afar. For my own well-being, I will not watch the linked video.

I remember growing up being taught that the USA is like the global police and we do good things in our overseas "operations".

When I contemplate what is done in my name, under the banner that I was taught to salute and pledge allegiance to every day growing up, I feel so utterly disgusted in a way that I lack words to articulate.

From the underhanded coups in Central America and South America, to the clandestine (and sometimes public) torture of dissidents (Chelsea Manning comes to mind), we are surrounded by an utterly inhuman system that will do anything to protect the power and interests of the people who benefit from it.

I don't know what we can do about it, but please keep spreading the message. Your words are brief, succinct, and powerful. Thank you <3

It honestly boggles my mind how you guys can have any respect for your military at all.

I'm not American by the way.

And these guys will just be excluded from the civilian casualties statistics, which are much higher than what’s being reported due to policies such as this one.

[–]Sydnaktik 19 points20 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Those guys were explicitly classified as targets that needed killing. But you're right, many, if not most, were likely civilians.

It gets even worse. Men who aren't even classified as targets and killed completely accidentally also don't show up in civilian casualties statistics:

But the Connecting Vets report noted that the Department of Defense (DoD) recorded only one civilian casualty on the date of the strike, which was “likely the toddler,” while leaving out the two adult males who “just happened to be there.”

“Military aged males” has long been a way for the US to downplay the numbers of civilians killed in the Middle East.

[–]MeasurementRealistic 2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Don't they consider any male between the age of 13 to 65 to be "Military aged"?

[–]quietlurk10 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s the widest range I’ve heard, but i wouldn’t be surprised. IIRC it was something like 13-40 but I believe something like 25-50 percent of that countries population is under 18? (I’m sorry I can’t remember the exact numbers, but the gist is that it’s a country very full of young people) I

Feminism as just another arrow in the quiver of murderous imperialism. You hate to see it.

I know there is likely a race component to this as well, but holy fuck. I really hope there isn't ever some criminal on the loose somewhere that just happens to look like me...

Look up "military age male".

It's just the unfortunate reality of it all.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
