Has anyone else noticed this?

Oftentimes I run into phrases like "he's just an unemployed neckbeard". Furthermore, not once have I seen this word used as an insult against women.

I think this phenomenon is due to men being forced into the provider role and being unemployed meaning inability to provide. So, it makes sense to misandrists to use this word to insult men. However, I might be wrong, so I'd like to read your opinions and theories on this.
