I saw this among the comments on my Twitter feed in a retweeted post, and the original tweet reads:
"I love how it's usually women who keep showing up and shutting down Trump. I hope they bring him down in November."
Now, I'm firmly anti-Trump and I'm eager to do my part to vote him out come November, but I'm so sick and tired to death of seeing this man vs woman rhetoric which only further divides and splits us during a time when it's the last thing needed. Last I checked equal numbers of men and women alike despise Trump and want him out, and yet it's made out that it's mainly women who are the key when it's participation from everybody regardless of gender, color, etc. that's needed. I really hate seeing this divisive rhetoric and think the Left needs to take much more of a stance against it. Someone in the same thread event left a comment saying women stand up more to Trump than any men, which immediately made me groan. Seriously? Taking down Trump and the Alt Right is a combined effort, not a solely female one.
