These people simply don't understand the difference between correlation and causation. I mean, while it may be true that women are more likely to be domestic abuse victims (using specific definitions of DV of course), that's still not a reason not to have laws that protect the people "least likely" to be made victims.

I like to use an equivalent: men are far more likely than women to get beaten up in a bar brawl. Should we then remove the laws that protect women who get beaten up in bar brawls on the basis that it's unlikely to happen? Obviously not.

It’s this type of behaviour that gives the game away they’re not after equality, they just don’t like men.

It’s the same when they won’t engage with evidence showing that men don’t have everything handed to them at birth (as they claim), or that the reasons underlying some of their headline stats used to claim victimhood (such as the “pay gap”) aren’t caused by discrimination, but rather by life choices.

Even worse when they try to deny a voice and silence anyone with evidence that usually life is just as hard for men as women and that women can be just as bad as any man.
