Things I do not understand:

If women are: strong, brave, tough, courageous, etc...why then do they need special programs, handouts, and public spectacles to be 'empowered'; if equality is the end game, why then is it not plausible that women can achieve the same things as men and more so the same success as other powerful women?

This is what happens when cultural Marxism (which includes feminism) finishes its slow progression through the halls of academia and journalism. Their final step is government takeover through cultural control. Because men tend to have conservative mindsets, they are to be emasculated, feminized, and if necessary marginalized over succeeding generations.
