Yep. Watching the married people around me (starting with my parents) red-pilled me more than all other things combined.

the key if you're going tradcon is to introduce these situations to your relationship early and establish roles, ideally after you've had sex and she's "on the hook" so to speak
when she wants you to do or not do something for appearances or just arbitrarily or on threat of withholding sex or whatever it is... fucking assert yourself and show her who is going to make decisions in the relationship, show her that she has no control over you
either she will take her place as a woman, as a follower and support role, or she can kick rocks, either way is infinitely better than living a lie for decades only to get stabbed in the back when one of you finally cracks
finally, tell her what her domain of command is or she will continue bucking, if you're making her a housewife and have kids, tell her her domain of command is the household and child safety or whatever it is. Financial shit, big decisions, and new experiences for the children (especially involving significant expenditures) are your domain and you have final say on whatever other minor domains.
[–][deleted] 65 points66 points67 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Irrelevant because they're all still married to their shared daddy-husband (aka "The State"). Anything you tell them is neither here or there because the Family Court/Police station will back them up to the hilt and they all know it.
[–]Itisforsexy41 points42 points43 points 5 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
That's all it boils down to. The state is the enemy of man. Women greatly exacerbate this problematic reality.
[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 5 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link
The State is the enemy of men because of women. Let's not split hairs and use the euphemisms like "society" etc. The ruling class is basically pitting women against men so they can go to the bank and feel relatively safe. And they do not have to work hard for that either because women are more than happy to cooperate in making the men into the indentured servants or outright slaves, make no mistake about it....
[–]HPLoveshack9 points10 points11 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
Even if women were on our side the state would still ultimately be the biggest drain on our lives, or at least the greatest instrument by which sociopaths and other "elite" parasites steal from us, murder us, and control us. There are much more moral, more fluid, and voluntary ways to organize given modern technology than the violence of the state. Ways that would result in the ostracization and removal of a large percentage of parasitic sociopaths (though not all, no system is perfect).
The powers that shouldn't be have simply found women to be a useful prybar when turning the state to their aims, which are all centered on globalism. They're using feminism the same as they're using socialism, transgenderism, and anti-nationalism to destroy any sense of identity or community below the global level and turn everyone into a single world herd they can milk, slaughter, and rule homogeneously.
Read up on the Frankfurt school and Tavistock institute, the evidence that this is all organized and has been for at least 120 years is all out in the open, there's literally dozens of books written specifically on the history of the elite parasite families and hundreds if not thousands that cover it peripherally.
There's a reason the vampire mythology is so evergreen, it's a near perfect metaphor for these people.
[–]EvilPencil10 points11 points12 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yup. The State likes feminism because it puts more people in the taxpaying workforce. Then instead of a breadwinning husband and SAHM, you have two workers, plus daycare, housecleaning, and lawn services.
[–]Itisforsexy2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No, the state is the enemy of free men, it is the imposition of aggressive force & coercion by definition. It's immoral at its core. Women just make it far worse than it ordinarily is.
[–]UnderThat17 points18 points19 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Or don’t do any of that shit.
[–]zaigenwow6 points7 points8 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Maybe im out of line here. But mgtow is about independance and happiness with one self. You are preaching dominance which isnt what we are about. We beleive in equality. Just not tied down to social expectations of marriage and the like.
[–]Not_able_to_live5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
you are right, the impression that man's post gave me is that he believes that a man should "own" a woman through marriage, which is not what mgtow advocates. Not to mention he claims the various life decisions (financial, children related, etc) should be made in correlation to your role, instead of working towards a solution together as a couple. Truly misguided people even here
[–]chalchium2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
Naïve. If your decision is 0.1% imperfect, she will complain like no tomorrow. What can you do when she nags? Nothing, unless you want to use violence. That would be illegal even in the alternative universe where men have rights. She can also sabotage you by telling your children how you mistreated her, or worse, abuse your children out of revenge. I'm not even talking about the divorce court yet. I'm not talking about the chance that she will poison your food or ask her beta orbiter to stab you when you are asleep, just to enjoy you suffer.
Don't bring these "hold your frames" TRP BS here. You are as powerless as a chicken if you dare to bring someone so close to your approximaty
[–]Swahilicharles0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What happens when stupidity and status obsession meet? Pathetic materialism, which results in horrendous money management.
Id rather not piss away thousands of hours of labor just to "be fancy." Crazy, right?

Ouch - that one hit home.
I have money but I am cheap as f.. (raised poor).
She dreamed of a Ford Mustang that just got available in Europe..
I bought an romanian Dacia (cheapest new car on the market) with cash.
I still have that Dacia though......

Asking people about their marriage when their spouses aren't around has been very enlightening for me. Basically nobody past the short honeymoon phase is doing well.
[–][deleted] 50 points51 points52 points 5 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link
I do not even have to ask. A copy machine technician stopped by to service a machine last week. We had a small talk, then he mentioned his wife and said without me asking: "Any man who's claiming that he's happy in marriage, is lying to you."
[–]TheMuslimMGTOW13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Damn the copy machine technician is woke. Hope he gets out.
[–][deleted] 11 points12 points13 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
The story he told me before that was this: his wife with whom he's got two kids started to work as a manger at a pharmacy making exactly two grands more than him and then the real shit started. Was not a bed of roses before but became totally intolerable afterwards. And the fact that he had to work for both of them while she stayed with kids at home for couple of years meant absolutely nothing.
[–]ShadeJason0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
She sounds like exactly the type of person you should avoid marrying. If you can't even find a good woman then how can you expect a good marriage?
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Good luck!
[–]mcros8518 points19 points20 points 5 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Same here. Ever since I was little my mum and dad argued alot and this has traumatised me. I have no idea how my sisters got married but I'm definately not getting married ever (sorry mum and dad).
[–][deleted] 39 points40 points41 points 5 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
Your sisters got married because:
How do I know it? Because that's how my sister got married and I haven't.
[–]mcros852 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
One of my sisters is good with money so it didn't benefit her financially to get married. My other sister was not so good with money so it definitely benefited her financially to get married. As for the constant bickering, you maybe right about that.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I wouldn't say it traumatised me, but seeing my own parents pretty much warned me off marriage. Plus I don't have anyone beating down my door looking to get wifed.
[–]scottbrio2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If I had to bet, that’s why most of us are here.
[–]LonelyNeeds95 points6 points7 points 5 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Yeah... it's heart breaking to be honest.
My cousin got married last year, and I can see the horror on her husband's face at every family event. He's even said things like "Why didn't you guys warn me about her" in a joking way... but you can see the truth behind his eyes.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
He's always welcome to get divorced before it's too late (it's never too late, IMHO). And for the same reason why freedom is always preferable to slavery.
[–]LonelyNeeds90 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I doubt he will divorce any time soon. Our family is already shaken up by my uncle's divorce this past year. We are a pretty religious family.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Ah, religion. Married in a church (God's law), divorced in a Family Court (Man's law). Just happened to an Orthodox Jew who works for my company. Got divorce-raped royally as far as I know.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nothing like being the only son and watching mom and sisters laugh their asses of from talking absolute shit about dad while he is out. And getting shamed if I don't appreciate the """jokes."""
[–]Naija_Zen2 points3 points4 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes! Literally watching my parents shit show of a marriage was the biggest red pill I needed xD

My mother didn’t work. She didn’t cook or clean either. She made my sister and I do all that. I remember her mostly lying on the couch, chain smoking, and watching tv all day. She was an insufferable, contentious nag. She went through two husbands and numerous boyfriends but couldn’t keep any of them.
[–]mirocj13 points14 points15 points 5 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Never heard my father complain about work, yet my mother always bitches about housework and how "busy" she always is. Like sure, let's pretend you're not gossiping all the time and always talking to chad whenever you're free.
How to know if your father's spouse / mother / wife is cheating: Ready to eat canned goods or no food at all is served frequently, a dirty home, dishes and clothes piling up, she's irritable, staying up late and awake in the midnight, new matching pairs of anything (like mugs and glasses) that your father never uses but she gets mad when you use one, and a family member / neighbor tells you that they see her with another man making out and having sex in your own car and house, making excuses when going out even if not asked or after the fact that she brought someone over, obviously trying to have a very silent voice speaking on the phone and you hear the conversation about cheating when you amplify the volume of the multiple sound recordings and asking the secret Chad for help how to deal with her growing belly, and a new opportunity to invest with insane returns without your father knowing about this investment so she tries to bring out all the cash she can putting her jewelries, accessories, gold bracelets on mortgage, and the paper for your your home's ownership and the entire family's birth certificates are all missing sent as gifts for Chas.
[–]scottbrio7 points8 points9 points 5 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This sounds highly specific lol
She went through two husbands and numerous boyfriends but couldn’t keep any of them.
gee, I wonder why.
[–]HM_mtl37 points38 points39 points 5 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
Some wifes will react like this because they want to make their husband looking in front of other people. It’s a form of social validation of being a good wife.

[–]HM_mtl1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
So, you may want to get married with a crazy and lazy woman child? You may be able to handle this situation like a chef? Tell me how we can make this woman worst in this fictional story? So, worst case scenario.
[–]VadeRetroLupa1 point2 points3 points 5 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
I mean, this is pretty regular stuff. Worst case scenarios are more like you wake up without a dick because she had a dream and such shit.
[–]HM_mtl0 points1 point2 points 5 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
This is not regular stuff. And what you described as worst scenario is out of the current context.

For me is the opposite. My parents and everyone I know is happily married and their life couldnt be better. HOWEVER, I recently meet a guy who is in his late 30 almost 40, he have been single always and he have a big house, and expensive car and byke. No, he don't have a dream job. He have normal job where he makes 2000€ monthly but being single made him save up huge amount of money. Watching what he earned by staying single vs what have my parents even happily married, I think I preffer to be single. Call me materialist if u want.
