Well yea it’s technically that, a contract to “love” each with financial support. The problem is that the punishment for breaking that contract is severe for men while women have it way easier if they break that contract. Also, the courts heavily favor women and they could falsely accuse you of violence and you’ll have to prove your innocence in court.

What sane person would enter a long term business contract based on feelings ?

But for some reason so many people are oblivious to this.
