This is the most “nurturing gender” bois or so they say

I know what it is to be male
So I know that there are virtuous males with integrity still around
As for the other side hmmmmm

And this is why you don't get involved with chicks from military towns. Don't date, don't make eye contact, nothing.
[–]Tailback38 points39 points40 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Never get involved with females when you're in the military. Even my dumb ass figured that out and that was years before the internet. Renting is fine.

Perfect evidence for a divorce court.

destroying military property? isn't this at least a misdemeanor?
[–][deleted] 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
For her? I dunno. But it definitely is illegal.
[–]Tailback6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
It is illegal, but highly unlikely to actually be prosecuted.

Don't bet on it. Big Government likes a full accounting of ALL their property, especially when it comes to military equipment. So, unless he already paid for that gear out of his uniform allowance, she's got a very big problem on her hands if he finds this image and shows it to his Commanding Officer. Otherwise, he'll be the one to suffer for the damage thereof.
Destruction of Government Property:
As amended on September 13, 1994, if the damage exceeds $100, the defendant is subject to a fine of up to $250,000, ten years imprisonment, or both. ... When property damage does not exceed $100, the offense is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $100,000, one year imprisonment, or both

I've heard that men in the military get great legal support in these situations from Jag. It's like having a legal team on retainer backed by the federal government all the time. I've heard many women in my past complain that the government bureaucracy that Jag creates makes it very hard to "get a fair divorce" from a soldier, sailor, marine etc.
Is that still the case? If so, to what degree?
[–]Friendly-Casper1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Still the case, divorcing while in service has and will always be complicated, especially if the service member is stationed on duty over seas when a divorce is filed by the spouse. Both the service member and the spouse have access to military legal services but it's still viewed as a civilian matter and all the legal services provided are meant to review legal documents, write whatever letters that are needed, negotiate between parties, but they cannot represent either in court. The bureaucracy is meant to make certain the issue is resolved fairly so the spouse that's overseas doesn't get divorced and come home to find out they've lost pretty much everything.
There's so much involved in the process it'd take too long to type it all out, i'll provide some links you can go through if you want to learn more about it. Something to note however is the katehorrell site I linked, the bitch actually goes into length about how to try and divorce rape service members using that very bureaucracy to aim for the 20/20/20 rule. All the while basically trying to claim she advocates for a fair divorce settlement between spouses.
It all translates as: If he doesn't give you what you want in arbitration, involve the lawyers. She is right though, most people rush through the divorce just to get it over with only to find out later they made a bad decision that either gave too much or the other spouse finds out they got too little. Any military spouse that complains about that process though, only married for one purpose, to get as much out of the service member as they possibly could (tricare being one of the biggest for those that stay married under the 20/20/20 rule, especially if there are children).

JAG can do nothing but give you advice and answer questions on how to proceed, even the dependent can get advice from a (separate) JAG personel. They can not represent you in court.

Interesting distinction I did not know...I was picturing a team of Tom Cruises going after a leech/wife on the witness stand after she screams "you can't handle the truth!"
At least that was the feeling she was pushing. Acting like a victim of the Big Bad Pentagon JAG and all their resources defending thier property/soldier.

I would love to believe that not all women are like this...but there is literally no reason to even take a chance.
[–]Stahlboden9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
All women are given legal and moral power to skrew you in various ways. They are also explicitly and implicitly told they have a moral highground, that men have it unfairly easy and if you screw a guy over, he probably deserves it somehow. Sure, not every woman gonna abuse you, but many will, and if they do, you won't have any legal way to defend yourself and put the woman to justice. And even your dear ones, who will see you being punished for nothing will either justify it in their heads or cowardly look away.

It's not about whether or not they are like this, it's about they have the power to BE like this if they so please.

So...here's my take. Those look like old, really old issue BLACK leather combat boots. They don't have the speed lace hooks which means the boots are prior to around 1988-1989 period. I have a pair of 1972 NOS never issued leather combat boots under my computer desk this minute. The camo clothing looks authentic like modern multicam issue stuff. UNLESS! They are Jump Boots. The picture doesn't show enough to determine. I am too far removed from the Army nowadays to know whether the Paratroopers still wear Corcoran Jump Boots in black for parades.
source: I was US Army from 1987-1992 Army National Guard from 1992-2002. Air National Guard from 2002-2008 and retired.
EDIT: Upon further review, the boots aren't fully laced and don't even have typical creases from being worn.
My Verdict: Fake but accurate. Fuck you CBS LOL! Joking aside it looks fake. As a vet though, it's very believable.

How is this not actionable as Malice???
How can you not use stupid social media posts, recordings, etc to lower payments (especially Spousal), settlements, and get more custody, etc???

What language is this written in?
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
BAH & Tricare? That what you mean. I can tell you.
[–]consentio0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Tell me
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
BAH is housing allowance that married servicemen get. He'll still get it until divorce is finalized, then he'll most likely end up moving into barracks.
TRICARE is health insurance for dependants of Active duty personnel. She'll have it until divorce is finalized. It sounds like she's marrying another soldier, so she'll be his dependant and continues getting it.

Basic Allowance for Housing. Tricare = free medical insurance through the military.
