This past week my dad, brother, and I went to Lake of the Woods in Northern Ontario for our annual fishing trip. If you haven't been there and have any interest in fishing I would definitely recommend it. We have been going for the past several years to the same resort and always have a blast. The icing on the cake is the fishing guides, who know where all the best spots are and have great stories from a lifetime of fishing and living in a rural part of Canada. They are also extraordinary red-pilled.
At one point, the guide asked me and my brother if we were married (neither of us are). He mentioned he had been married for 45 years and that was the end of it (or so I thought).
The next day, he began talking about how his wife worked when they were married but stopped after she had their first child. He also mentioned that he did most of the work around the house. Finally, he said "if I could do it over again I wouldn't get married." He mentioned that he loved his children, though, and he couldn't imagine life without them.
Just thought you all would like to hear this. I agree. I have no intention of getting married, but I imagine those of you with children probably feel similar to how this man felt. Of note, I have heard many individuals in this man's age (late 60s) share the same sentiment.
