If I point out to them that men have been responsible for nearly every development/advancement in history and have built nearly every system that constitutes a civilization and women pretty much did nothing except give birth and maybe clean the house, they keep saying that same old "Well, women were 'oppressed' and seen as nothing more than baby ovens. If they weren't, they'd have done all that men have done....."

However, if in a different argument, you point out that men are still responsible for the really dangerous and risky jobs that are necessary for keeping society alive, they simply fall back to the same old "Well who gave birth to men?WOMYN did. So womyn are equally responsible for society....."

I just find it odd that when society tells them they are only good for having babies, they lose their minds and act all 'oppressed' and stuff, but when giving equal opportunity with men and men still hold a more important position(not by status, but by necessity) they start saying that since women gave birth to men, so they are equally important. Isn't it just convenient how they twist their narrative when it suits them?
