Premise: You can't master two completely different disciplines within at least a substantial amount of time. E.g., you can't expect to train to get gold in the Hammer Throw while also training to get gold in Swimming. Each worthwhile pursuit needs ample time, energy, and discipline to produce meaningful results.

That being said, let's compare two pursuits in life: getting really good at living life (doing what makes you happy), or getting really good at getting laid.

Going Your Own Way (GYOW; i.e., focus on growing as a man and getting better at what you love to do--whatever gives you purpose in life)

vs

Pursuing Pussy (PP)

Best-case scenario of GYOW:

  • Fulfillment (good career, can support yourself, made something of yourself)
  • Personal Growth
  • Wisdom/Spirituality
  • Travel/Experiences
  • Sex (you'll have money, remember? It's only natural that this presents itself to you)
  • Financial independence
  • Security
  • Friends (possible, but not always)
  • Community (the lack of friends/women is easily resolved by participating in the community or with pickup sports)
  • Flow (if you're doing things correctly, you forget about life: pain, stress, and anxiety slip away)
  • Happiness: 10/10 (stable, long-term, independent of externals)

Worst-case scenario of GYOW:

  • Fulfillment (you've worked your ass off and focused on what matters to you; you didn't waste your life)
  • Personal Growth
  • Wisdom/Spirituality
  • Travel/Experiences
  • Community (if you're living on Earth, you have a community)
  • Flow (if you're doing things correctly...)
  • Happiness: 7/10 (maybe some frustration due to bad decisions, but ultimately, you're happy that you're doing what you truly love)

Hard to argue that the worst-case scenario of GYOW is actually all that bad. Now for the opposition:

Best-case scenario of PP:

  • Sex
  • Confidence (dependent on validation from girls who don't do anything with their life)
  • Experiences/Travel
  • Financially dependent (this pursuit ain't cheap)
  • Lack of a sleep schedule (women don't follow sleep schedules, which mean you'll likely have days that involve going to bed way later--trust me, this matters)
  • Anxiety/Stress (it's hard facing a lot of rejection and pretending you don't have emotions)
  • Happiness: 7/10 (unstable, dependent on externals, short-term)

Worst-case scenario of PP:

  • Anxiety/Stress
  • Prison/Jail (false accusation of abuse/rape)
  • Lack of sleep
  • Drugs
  • Depression
  • Debt/Poverty/Broke/Homeless
  • Lack of expertise/skills, wisdom, and knowledge
  • Unhealthy (stress, lack of sleep, depression, drugs)
  • Lonely
  • Result: early death (caused by stress or lack of a healthy lifestyle) or suicide (loneliness + depression + anxiety + stress + lack of sleep)

Of course these can seem a bit extreme, but if you truly want to have any meaningful results in anything, you have to prioritize it over anything else. Thus, if you want to be fulfilled with your life, realize what it is that results in feeling fulfilled and happy, then prioritize it.

To reference the earlier analogy: if you don't prioritize your training, why are you training? You'll never get gold, so you're just wasting your time if you choose to train half-assed and distracted by externals like pussy. GYOW
