Men are getting nothing from marriage. It is not a vow anymore, it is a contract for being a provider.

This is why men and their families were used to be paid to marry, by the bride's family
For some reason, we westerns got it wrong here

What the fucking fuck do you get out of marriage??
If the woman wants you to sign that bullshit to "prove your love", then she doesn't love you.
What's the point of allowing someone to load up a gun, point it at your head point-blank, finger on the trigger, set it up so that she gets praised and rewarded for pulling it, trusting them NOT to pull it.. just to prove your love to them?
If you don't agree to that deal, does that truly mean you don't fucking love them??

I'm so sad. I'm young enough (18) that I've been raised in a society where it's always been women with the power. So not only have I never experienced (and likely never will experience :c) the "male privilege," I've only experienced feminists screaming at me about how unfair their lives are because I have male privilege. Life is fun.

Protection from abuse, a women can make something up and get legal orders against you

I saw something on r/AskReddit where they asked if women should be able to be topless whenever they want like men can so what do you guys think of that? Personally, I’m really against it & am not supportive over that at all. Women are not men, women are women. And men and women are different & that’s ok. Men do not have boobs which is why men can be topless whenever we want.

It's kind of unequal to have men's chests on tv shows but not women's though ;)
[–]VoteRepublicanAgain0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I’m pretty sure you’re just saying you want to see boobs but I’m not sure. That’s probably the reason why half the men want this to happen lol. But I’m a guy & I really don’t think it should be changed. And if a woman has to breastfeed then she doesn’t have to do it right in front of everyone, she can go somewhere off to the side or just put a towel over her. I feel like doing that would have really negative consequences & it has never been like this at all. Also, anyone could record a woman’s boobs whenever they wanted since people can record whatever & whenever they want. Idk what you mean by the TV shows part, maybe I’m just overthinking it.

For a man it literally makes no sense to continue to engage with women with any degree of trust. If you do so make sure you always carry your own protection, get a vasectomy after having your sperm frozen ( only if you want a kid). Even if you have a vasectomy always use protection. Your average woman goes through a lot of partners and the STD isn’t worth the feeling of getting your dick wet.

had some beta simp/possible parasite argue that I'm in the wrong for saying that a man shouldn't be held accountable for whenever a parasite decides she wants kids and he doesn't, that in a perfect world it's not just 100% up to her whether or not the kid should be born and the guy shouldn't have to pay because she decided that day she wasn't going to use any of the various contraceptive options she has. I bet you can pretty much guess what they called me for using logic in that argument about not taking agency from parasites like everyone always does

You know what... fuck equal parenting. To even things out, men need to get FULL custody and the women get visitation, with visitation being up to the discretion of the father, to keep the woman in line.

what? that "all women are bitches" or that you're just an incel?
You're in the wrong sub, moron. Calling somebody an incel has no persuasive value here. More to the point, it wouldn't matter if 99% of women were fantastic, because the problem is with the legal structure supporting marriage. It simply isn't a risk worth taking if you're a man.

I love how you ignore good advice and convince yourself everything in your life is fine. It's going to be that much funnier when everyone you trust betrays you and you wind up broke and homeless with nothing left for yourself. 😆

Roughly what percentage of men, currently divorced, would you say expected to be divorced and subjected to extortionate child support around the time they got married?
C’mon man, surely you’re smarter than that.

[–]ECGMoney9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
But divorces and child support cases are 100% out of your control as soon as you sign the marriage contract. Doesn’t matter if you think you’ve “picked the right girl,” or even if she was “perfect” around the time of marriage. All she has to do is get a little bored of you at any point within the rest of your life, and you’re out on your ass. No amount of “choosing the right partner” will change that. As I stated, it’s likely ~99% of divorced men thought they “chose the right partner” at the time of marriage.
Like the other dude says, you should stick around and do some of the recommended reading, your current line of thinking has quite a high chance of ending in tragedy for yourself.
[–]bar9nes-2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
You’re right a person’s perspective may change and people do grow apart. Yea a good number of men thought they chose right and got burned. Knowing what to look for would change. Marriages and relationships end it’s life. If she wants to destroy you in the process my man you didn’t chose someone that was down for you. I’ll definitely take a look at the recommended reading. I also recommend “the holographic relationship” by Zo Williams.

jesus christ, these guys are being way too polite so let me spell it out for you: IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO OR HOW YOU CHOOSE, WOMEN ARE ALL THE SAME. I literally lost a good friend because he believed his cheating whore of a wife, who says she was in love with him since their freshman year in hs and went through a lot to get him, when she told him I kissed her inappropriately. she tried to force me into having sex with her while he was in the next room. how can you hear stories like this and still believe "there's a perfect woman out there for you"? you have to be an absolute fucking moron, that's how. get off my sub mongoloid
[–]Teflon081914 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Learning to date the person and not the potential or who you think they are would go a long way n cutting down on divorces and child support cases.
That's pretty naive advice. Besides, we've already figured out a solution to those problems.
It's a stop-gap solution for civilization to be sure, but one that serves us as individuals perfectly well.

Should check out posts on the lightswitch effect . I watched it happen in several marriages you'd have thought were golden. Change happens, even men are capable of having their whole worldview and past reinterpreted through another lens. For women, maybe one day a better man comes within reach, meanwhile hers isnt so attractive now or boring. years of the man sacrificing for family or just years of failing shit tests and letting her mateguard by convincing him to abandon all the things that made him attractive in the first place. One day this totally blindsides men who filtered for a healthy spouse. Suddenly the woman feels cheated, this man deceived me! Now she feels justified in destroying him. The guy is left confused. A man discipled in such wisdom might be able to navigate these things and avoid, but that is still a trying and vigilant work, longsuffering with extreme high risk for so little fruit.

you're ignoring female nature. It's biological. Neither Family nor civilization can survive its unleashing. It's historical and you can see it happening right now as well.
[–]gprime7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's like saying "gotta learn how to spin the cylinder correctly before playing Russian Roulette." You're asking the impossible, instead of doing the easy and logical thing, not playing at all.
