Just be sure to segregate them from male soldiers in training. Don't want them knocked up so they can't go out and serve and protect their country. If they get preggers then they get stateside duty for months. Keep lots of RU-486 around for Monday mornings for the morning after so you can nip it in the bud early before there's any fertilization or beating hearts that form. My conscience is clear on that.

I see no problem with that, but the person is a child. I don’t favor the idea of a draft at all, but if we have one obviously it should include women.

Do you think the “feminists” are as big a threat as you are making them out to be? Do you think you are proving something by being this petty and insecure?
There are too many boomers in this sub stuck on this boogeyman nonsense and are failing to realise the bigger picture.
Don’t let your emotions control you like this. It’s a miserable and pointless existence.

Weak shaming language and tone policing because you don't have an intellectual rebuttal.
Let's try again. Feminists have successfully pushed this notion that we are equals and there are no differences between the sexes.
OK fine lets take them literally. Have them sign up to be drafted as well. Here is their chance to practice what they preach

Yup. Its scientifically proven by Marvel and DC, Disney, P&G and somany others that women are superior to men in every way. Im super convinced. Maybe we SHOULD let them fight the next big war while we sit at home. Theyre better than us so they can easily win it anyways right. Although im scared of being a primary victim of war if they die. 😂😂😂😂

I'll give you two guesses.
[–]jasperspaw37 points38 points39 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
How the fuck did she pass basic?
Pumping gas is part of the driver training course. That's after basic(in Canada, at least). Some people don't drive, and don't need to learn to pump gas.
The anxiety is something else, though. You don't make it through basic with the levels she is exhibiting. Well, not the basic training I remember. Imagine her in the tear gas training.
[–]SexualRex29 points30 points31 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Imagine her in the tear gas training.
Based on the video, imagine her getting off the bus and the concierge doesn't come greet her and take her bags to check-in.
[–]jasperspaw28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I was a fuckup in basic.
I remember i was on Latrine duty as part of the normal rotation. Urinals was my job. Inspection time comes around, and I get dressed down by the corporal. "you didn't polish the brass!", he says. I looked, and there was a bronze grill over the drain on the urinal. 6 of them. I went to the store on base, bought a can of Brasso(TM), and a new tooth brush. Pulled those bronze drain covers, stuck them in the sink and poured hot water on them, and polished them til they shone. They looked like they'd never been cleaned before. I used my old toothbrush.
Inspection time again, and the corporal sez: "You didn't polish the brass!" I point at the nice shiny drain plates, and he sez: "We don't expect you to stick your hands in there!", and points at a metal cup at the top of the urinal that I never even noticed.

Literally any foreign military vs the above
[–]Zippy177634 points35 points36 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
There is no way that girl could cut it through a deployment. The whole situation makes me wary, but I am not sure it's stolen valor as another commentor states. I don't know wrf to think other than sad that she's this flimsy and a bit angry she's wearing so much makeup.
[–]sparrowbelfast4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I think he means that it's stolen valour in a figurative sense at least- she has passed basic training, somehow, but would any sensible commander put her in harm's way? Count on her to handle herself, let alone others, in a stressful support role? She seems comprehensively useless.
She is no more at risk of laying down her life for her country than the clown in the parade with fifty medals (some of them foreign) on his incorrectly-worn uniform, and about as useful to the strength and prestige of the military.
[–]Zippy1776-2 points-1 points0 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Stolen valor is a term specific and defined with a lot of meaning to us that have served. Specifically wearing medals, ranks, designations or uniforms not earned by service. Being a low quality soldier isn't stolen valor. Additionally, she may be a great rifleman with high marks and a warrior's heart when it's boogaloo time. I just find it sad that she wears so much makeup in uniform and isn't also brave enough to try and fail at pumping her own gas. There is no figurative when it comes to stolen valor. It either is, or it isn't since it's a crime. One indicator to why I doubt it's stolen valor is because her unit flash isn't pinned on, but sewn on firmly. She never turns her head far enough to see the flash itself, but she wears the berret correctly for being in a real unit and not just initial training. I haven't seen any stolen valor types get the headgear correct to this detail.
[–]sparrowbelfast1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
There is no figurative when it comes to stolen valor. It either is, or it isn't since it's a crime.
Figurative expressions are intentional rhetorical departures from precise meanings. She may not be committing an offence under the relevant laws i.e. she may, legally, be a soldier. Is she a soldier in any sense more than "legally" is the point the figurative makes.
The uniform being worn by somebody who didn't pass basic training, and the uniform being worn by somebody this openly dysfunctional and unsuitable seem comparable to me. I put in a couple of examples above but one I might add is that neither she nor the walt are deployable to a warzone without their agreement- his because he's a civilian, and hers because she can get herself knocked up to dodge it.
[–]Zippy17760 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Hey, no argument here, not looking for a fight. I just don't like ppl being accused of stolen valor lightly because it's a serious accusation.
[–]EvilCoyote0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just from her 6 pounds of makeup, her mannerisms, and the way she talks, you can completely tell she is a total diva. What can someone like that bring to the table? Does the military recruit valley girls to operate beauty salons on military bases or something?

I'm sure there are some competent women in the armed forces, but as a whole, women in the armed forces is a mistske, especially since their testing is easier.
There are women that can pass the male tests, they are fine in my book, but the ones that can't pass the male tests should be booted out. It's a matter of life and death and political correctness and feminism plays no part in the military
[–]VagabondLonewolf1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They cannot charge in the infantry. They are not allowed to lift 98lbs projectiles in artillery like a man would, they are not cut out for C4ISTAR kinda missions and operations. All they do is logistic support or driving ATVs and other things.
Yes they could shoot a rifle. But you could clearly see that how they cannot keep up with male troops.
[–]sparrowbelfast1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Even the ones who pass the tests shouldn't be there, IMO. It's not solely about capability, but also about unit cohesion- a group of men can work together to achieve difficult goals through organisation, planning and force, we are practically built for it. Bring in women and all of a sudden cohesion is out the window. Sexual jealousy drives wedges between men, and relationships can call impartiality of decision making into question. I saw it inside the Forces, and I saw it on factory floors. It sucks for the few women who legitimately want to join the army and can pass the tests, but the army shouldn't be a tool for self-actualisation.

Soldier is someone who fights in an army. e.g. He was a soldier in WWII.
Solider is the comparative form of the adjective 'solid' and is used to say that something is 'more solid'. Common things that are described as 'solider' are foundations, performances, and evidence. e.g. They should have built the house on a solider foundation than silt.
[–]Zippy177641 points42 points43 points 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
Growing up, solider was not considered a real word. The proper phrase was "more solid". Saying solider was a flag indicating low intelligence. I know things may have changed and the word may have been added to Webster, but I just can't get over that.

When people say something like "solider", I respond with "soliderer". It fucks them up, they knew "solider" was wrong as soon as it left their mouth, and they don't get why the extra "er" makes it a legit word. It doesn't make it legit, "solider" isn't legit.
[–]WaterChestnut31 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I prefer my linguistics to be descriptive as opposed to prescriptive. Language rules are arbitrary and if people are saying solider and everyone knows what they mean then solider is a word

[–]fmanly37 points38 points39 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
That's why this is a bad idea. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the meme and the whole concept. However, you can't really draft women, unless you're also willing to force them to have abortions if they get pregnant. Also, unless you're drafting them into non-combat roles you need to further ensure they're up to the standard.
Drafting people costs a LOT of money. You have to train them, get them to the combat zone, get them experienced in war, and so on. You don't want to do that with somebody who can just have sex, get pregnant, and then get sent home. Now you have manpower shortages and you go to fix them by drafting more people, and 50% of those replacements are more women who will just do the same thing. That is going to cost a fortune and disrupt units on the field.
Then for the women who stick it out, it is important that they can actually do the job. When you get shot, you don't want the only person nearby to be unable to drag you to safety, because they were given reduced physical standards so that they could qualify. For non-physical jobs it is less of an issue, but when your ship gets torpedoed or whatever even if you're a radar technician you might be in a situation where you need to grab a wrench and some timber or whatever with a lot of lives riding on how well you perform.
Women just aren't suitable for a lot of combat duties. By all means draft them into jobs they can be made to do, but it doesn't make sense to push for equality when they aren't equal. That is just joining the SJWs in sticking our heads in the sand. The draft exists for a reason - an important one.
[–][deleted] 27 points28 points29 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Also, unless you're drafting them into non-combat roles you need to further ensure they're up to the standard.
This is the crux of it. Women in the military means men no longer get to earn the cushy jobs - they are automatically given to women while men go die.
[–]Prototype_Grendel24 points25 points26 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[+]Fruitlessfire-6 points-5 points-4 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Dude. Training exists. Women will be trained to be able to do the shit they need to do. Idk if they stay in training until they pass or whatever, but they arent gonna send an inexperienced person to fight by your side- it's a waste of money. If they wanna dodge the draft they would get pregnant BEFORE they go to training.
There are plenty of female soilders out there that kick some ass. Women dont typically work out, hence the weakness. Once they go to war, I'm pretty sure they will be working out. Hell- even warehouse jobs require being able to lift 80 pounds frequently. I haven't worked out (my arms) a day in my life and I can carry/drag a person. I- I think everyone can. Aslong as you have a solid BMI and dont spend all day on your ass, you'll have strong enough legs to drag the average human.
If we want to be equal, we will be respectful of the draft. The memes you see about dodging it- they are memes. Dont take them to heart.
[–]fmanly0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
A very small percentage of women are capable of meeting the standards. I'm all for putting those in combat roles, just as I'm all for not putting men in those roles when they are not capable of meeting the standards.
It is entirely possible that you're capable of meeting the male standard for a standard soldier. That would make you very atypical. You can't build an army on the most exceptional few percent of the population.
While training is certainly necessary to reach full potential, it doesn't really change the fact that men have basically been taking steroids most of their lives.
[–]Fruitlessfire0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Kudos for calm response my guy. Testosterone. Shits strong.
Just like the men that are subpar they will probably go into mechanics and such. I dont think you'll have to worry about a weak partner.
[–]fmanly0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah, I don't have a problem with non-combat roles for those who don't meet the standards, but they still need to be pretty far back from the main lines. You never really can be certain when combat will happen.
There are of course a ton of jobs that need to be done in a military mobilization within the US/etc which would be good candidates for those who don't meet the standard.
Just to keep beating the dead horse - I think it should always be about objective standards, not gender.
[–]KDE_Fan7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
That's why abortion's are so great! Don't let that little bastard hold her back from her destiny! She can get some practice with a warm up murder at the clinic, so there will be NO excuses before a deployment, just a mandatory appt at the clinic before leaving to ensure she isn't pregnant and if so, take care of the problem and they all get a depo shot so they can't get knocked up over entire deployment.
This should be mandatory if women are to be taken seriously b/c this is the only thing that aligns with their demands and we have to be consistent, right?
[–]Fruitlessfire-1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I agree with the birth control, actually. Forcing abortions- ehh. If they got pregnant SPECIFICALLY to dodge the draft- sure. But if they were trying to start a family at an unfortunate time- no.
Btw... a murder is illegal. Soldiers dont murder. Women getting abortions do not murder.
[–]KDE_Fan4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Anyone who gets pregnant while in basic or just after is doing it on purpose. don't believe any BS they tell you, they are only joining and having a family at the same time b/c they want the reliabiilty of a military pay check w/o paying the dues to be in the military. Women who marry soldiers are basically the same thing.
Would you tell a guy "oh, you can stay home. you're wife is pregnant and having a baby".. Fuck no. He'd be deployed in an instant. Fuck that bitch if she gets pregnant. Time to go to the clinic. They fought for these rights, now it's time they live with them.

I got drafted in freakin' '69 after trying to avoid it, but I went. Lucked out with an honorable discharge but not having to go to Nam.
Hate us boomers all you want, Millennials (we sure did screw up a lot) but you've got to divide male boomers who were facing draft and those who weren't. About 50% when I gradated from college were assured of never being drafted, and same among guys after I graduated. It was a nightmare for those of us facing the draft, and draftees numbered the majority of those killed or wounded.
Vietnam twisted my youth though I never went. After I got out, I had to flee the country for a year. Same with all males who were in draft pool, 50% of all males age 18-26. But no women. I resented it back then when women started demanding equal rights. "Sure," I agreed, "but what about serving in the military." They always shut up.
Hey, ya know how to "make up" for past injustices, we gotta give "preference" to women and minorities for hiring and executive positions? (Minorities were drafted and probably over-represented in high casualty infantry units, so leave out minorities guys on this).
Well, we now have to make up for past injustices in males getting forced into the military and dying and being maimed the past 200 years and draft 80% women, and put them into special all-female infantry units where they don't have to worry about dragging a wounded 220-lb male, and send THEM to the front lines first.

Time for a little truth bomb my brothers. I think this is one of the best examples of why "Feminism" was never about "Equality" It would be hard for the opposition to debate their way out of these facts. I'm going to start by posing a couple simple questions:
What is the most valuable possession of every single human being on earth Man or Woman? Your life (it's that simple some people will say a sports car, or a house, etc.) but the fact is you can't enjoy or benefit from any worldly possession if you're not living.
What does War cost? It costs many things but as history has shown, it ultimately costs men their lives.
Only men are required to fill out a draft card and only men have been drafted into wars, not of their own accord.
So what does all of this really boil down to? Ultimately, our culture, society and all of humanity, values a woman's life more than that of a man's. So the biggest hypocrisy of feminism is it's all about "Equality" Well clearly that is false because society and humanity value a woman more than a man. It's that simple
[–]knight3m94 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Ultimately we are gonna have one of two societies. We currently live in a gynocracy where women have equal if not superior rights to men but few obligations or no responsibilities. So men are forced into draft registration and into lots of essential but hazardous jobs necessary for society to function. Women are protected by law and custom while loudly complaining of their victimhood. They currently control 80% of all spending in the country and men are mandated to provide the resources. Thru taxes or direct payments like alimony or child support during mens most productive years. So men are merely indentured servants that die almost a decade earlier than women. Now when that society is threaten thru war with men that actually enjoy some rights as men in their societies why would any male step forward to defend a society when he is locked into being a indentured second class citizen? Clearly the conquerors wont be extending the very things that weakened the vanquished society's. So no feminism probably no minority rights and the alphabet folks better go into hiding. Life seeks balance.

According to Unwin, after a nation becomes prosperous it becomes increasingly liberal with regard to sexual morality and as a result loses it cohesion, its impetus and its purpose. The process, says the author, is irreversible:"The whole of human history does not contain a single instance of a group becoming civilized unless it has been absolutely monogamous, nor is there any example of a group retaining its culture after it has adopted less rigorous customs."

actually I'd like to initiate a law where women can only lead other women, as in there will never be a woman leading a platoon of men.
Only when I know women won't be automatically put in officers uniforms will I want them in our military.
However, they should be in all opposing forces all the way.

This is a really bad idea. Speaking as someone who was in the military. While I’m only a Sailor I have seen the rigorous standards required for combat roles in the military. Hell I couldn’t handle it and I’m a man. Most women wouldn’t be able to handle it physically. Let’s just say some do get through the cracks you have to answer yourself the following questions. Questions: Do they have what it takes to take a life and live with it? Do they have the strength to carry someone when they are injured on the battlefield? What happens if it comes down to hand to hand combat? Could they overpower a male insurgent? Highly unlikely. The enemy would also do far worse to them if they were ever captured because they are women. Rape is guaranteed along with torture especially from ISIS. The risk of OPSEC (Operational Security) breaches is guaranteed which in return risks more lives being lost and potentially starting another war. I’m not a fan of just adding people just to add people. In order for the U.S and its allies to be strong they need strong people. Either way that’s an issue for the military to address.

I think drafting women is a damned good idea, but not for the usual reasons. It has nothing to do with improving defense; we spend more than the rest of the world combined, and if we’re not secure now, we’re never going to be. It has more to do with curbing the bellicose impulses of politicians. Apparently, no one seems to care if you throw away the lives of professional soldiers, especially if they’re male. (Look up sociobiology—male lives have always been expendable.) We fumbled around in Vietnam for 10 years, harvesting an average of 100 body bags per week, most of them teenage boys. How long do you think we would have kept it up if those bags had been full of teenage girls? The only way to keep politicians in line is to hold the children of the middle class hostage to their grand plans of eternal, eternally profitable, war. I realize this is a dark, and cynical view; but reality is usually dark and cynicism the proper response to a political system built on duplicity and corruption. Norway and Sweden recently went to universal conscription; and Israel has done so for seventy years. I remember sometime in the early 80s, a case involving sex discrimination and the draft got to the supreme court. The court did what it always does (except with the case of the Pentagon papers) when the government uses the magic words, national defense—it rolled over and played dead. I do remember at that time, a Pentagon spokesman had said if it ever came to a draft again, we’d have to draft girls because there wouldn’t be enough boys in the age pool A few decades later, the world has rotated a few thousand times, and things have changed. A federal judge in Houston last year declared a male only draft unconstitutional. It will have no impact on anything, but it indicates the direction of the wind. Like it or not, women will end up drafted. It will be amusing to watch feminists bend logic, twist reason, and defy rationality to justify hiding behind their skirts.

[–]roflcopt0rz_returns0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Here's the problem with getting more women into actual no-shit wars.
First, let's ignore the fact that women will just get pregnant to avoid the whole thing to begin with anyway. You'd have to close that loophole, which the government never will.
Even if women are forced into the battlefield, biology and science will always win. These women are worse than useless, they literally will do nothing except get killed and be in the way of the men who are trying to do things. For example imagine a 50-50 split of men-women, and the women are incapable of even carrying their gear, so now every man has to now carry twice as much gear as normal. That's just the start.
Basically the only way the women would do anything productive without holding men back is if men treated them like cannon fodder, to run ahead to trip landmines, etc.
Or, you have male only battalions and female only battalions, where the female ones will literally not do anything except get killed and be useless, and if male battalions have to be sent to save and cover their stupid asses they will get into trouble.

Usually like this sub. That’s a little girl. Leave kids out of it. Spend your time moaning about people that have actually reached an age where they can be expected to be accountable. Shit like this makes you look bitter. If you had been with a woman long enough to procreate and you had a little girl? I guarantee you’d feel the same. Kids are a blank slate. Worry about their parents. The day we stop having a natural instinct to protect children it won’t just be the breakdown of our society, it will be the end of the species.

I get what your saying but I think that picture was used for dramatic effect. I’m pretty sure the military isn’t going to draft a child, boy or girl. That would just be stupid. They would have to be in the 18-25 range like men (I would hope)
[–]ipwr852 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Not in any first world country but impressment of boy soldiers is very common in Africa.
A country resort to drafting child when their army size is depleting since they are on losing side. Nazi Germany was a good example of it.
