Brutal, and true.
And sadly, my taxes fund it. Yes, I pay as little as legally possible, but I still pay.

Not like we have a choice. If we did I’m sure the socialists would be jumping up and down from excitement. I heard a joke once that’s probably been said hundreds of times.
“Today it was so cold I saw a socialist with their hands on THEIR OWN pockets”

I would love to be able to opt out of paying an amount of tax equivalent to the percentage that goes to social housing, child support etc. and in return have access to those benefits revoked.

I'm in a position where that is not a concern.
[Edit] Let me clarify actually. I would have access to them if I needed them, however I don't need them and am paying for other people to have access to them. I would prefer not to pay the portion of tax that goes to those benefits in exchange for not having access to them in the future - because I will never need them.
[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
The problem is these people have endless access to it. Like what the fuck. I think 3 years at most should be given for them to get back on their feet. They shouldn’t be able to live off of it for the rest of their lives. Like I’ll have no problem with it if it was that way but they start on welfare and it never ends
[–]MGMOWNow197815 points16 points17 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
This is true, and the way it is set up almost incentivises people to just become baby factories and never work a day in their lives.
[–]KnightBlue23 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Babies? Most people call them "tax deductibles."

I've heard of multi-generation now. They get it, their kids get it and then their kids get it...and on and on.

Not like we have a choice.
Welcome to my pet peeve: you do have a choice, it just sucks.
Paying taxes is every bit as optional as any compliance with the law. You choose to be lawful here because the alternative sucks.
That being said, pragmatically you don't have a choice, so everyone can go back to ignoring my pedantry.
Also, I am of the opinion that (at the very least) voting rights should be tied to net positive lifetime tax contributions. If you are taking more than you give you shouldn't have a say. There has to be skin in the game for sensible decision making.
[–]Hellbillyx6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Agreed. I encourage all men to study taxes and use every loophole they can find.
[–]Cursedwithknowing2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]silent_hedges0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Whats next (according to dems) is all childcare will be covered, so basically taxing men more for things women need (and some single fathers). In the future, I guess women will have no bills at all, basically, men being on a virtual plantation, with no escape. And people wonder why older men move to other countries.

my taxes to the state and fed, is at the point, since they are defunding the police, we should start defunding welfare. start with the able working bodies, start by sending bare essentials as food, no more food stamps.
I am sick of being the sole provider for generations of useless people who think its my job to pay taxes and pay their bills.

[–][deleted] 46 points47 points48 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
That last line is something I really really agree with. I still have no idea why I should pay taxes because someone decided to have children. Adults should have this much sense to understand what having a child means, not depend on the state to raise their child.
[–]hrm089410 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Even as a teenager I knew how devastating having a child would be to my livelihood. Fuck all these people who have unprotected sex, have children, then have the audacity to complain about their situation. Now live with your decision, learn from it, and stop bitching!
[–]Silver4R44491 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
they are trying to ramp this up even more in CA. If you are a minority in CA they pay you 1 k. It hasn't passed yet though.
[–]NeverNeverLandIsNow3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
What? Fuck I don't know why anyone would want to live in CA anymore, what a fucking idiotic state. If it weren't for the great weather and scenery no one in their right mind would live there.

If a giant fucking desert can be called that...
[–]NeverNeverLandIsNow2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes schools should be state funded with/without taxes based on what the state wants to do. No arguments there. But there are countries where government cuts taxes for marriages. If one of the spouse does not work, the tax of the working spouse goes down. While if someone decides to remain single, there are no tax benefits.
Similarly having children once again cuts taxes You get some more money per month along with your salary for your first child, then some more for the second child and so on. This is not money for school, this is just money to be spent. And this money comes out of taxes I pay. This is what I was disagreeing with with my first post.
Having a child/multiple children should be a personal decision. It just seems to me that these governments kind of nudge people towards marriage and child rearing given that the take home salary increases significantly. Whether we like to admit it or not, money is a huge motivator. However someone who decided to stay single or childless, does not get these benefits. There is no reason, at least in my mind, for taxing people who do not want to get married or remain childless more than people who have decided to get married or have children. Choosing to be single and/or childless is not illegal or in the grey zone but seems to demand an extra monthly payment just for the choice.
More kids = more taxes in time.

Karl Marx didn't understand human nature very well. He thought the developed nations would be the first ones to become communist and from there spread it across the world.
But those who have, don't want to give.
Those who don't have, want to give.
This is human nature and he did not understand it. It was in the poorest of places that communism spread.
The question of why some people are poor and others are rich, however, nobody likes to hear the answers to.

Thomas Edison had a clear understanding of the problem:
Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
[–]FuckCensorship0014 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Thomas Edison is a genius but unfair to apply his perspective of work to the shit show we have now - most jobs have zero integrity and there’s 100 dudes behind you that can kiss the bosses ring if you don’t - a lot of people are lost - they don’t have careers - they have put years into something that didn’t pan out (sales) - beaten down and beaten down - some people do not have the natural skills to become educated and get those opportunities to make some decent money without lying, working 60 hours a week, losing all your hobbies because work takes up everything, all of the sudden I’m gaining weight, I hate life, but I’m making money YAY P

this sub is getting way too political
this is supposed to be about men opposed to marriage, relationships or women in general
[–]WhatMixedFeelings4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
When the government gets a say in alimony allocation and unjust taxes funding single mothers, I think it’s safe to say relationships are inherently political.
[–]Cade_Connelly_132 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Tell me how women getting our money to do exactly this is 'political'?

I bought a 18 unit low income apartment building last year that is part of a bigger project I am putting together. They all have bigger TV’s than I do and a third of them have more expensive cars than my daily driver (2018 4Runner 4x4 base model). There is a Hellcat and a newer Navigator in the parking lot. The guy owns a popular barbershop and cheats on his taxes.
[–]Shauyy1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Honestly, I'm happier when my taxes are going towards actual people and not giant mega-corporations intent on fucking over the people and planet then leaving us with the bill.
[–]WhatMixedFeelings2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I’d prefer people be responsible to pay for their own lives. If you want to have kids, be prepared to pay for it and don’t expect society to fund your ONS mistakes.
[–]YrjoWashingnen1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Having kids even on the public dole is considered such an unspoken human right here that it's not even up for discussion or debate, unfortunately.
[–]General_Fear1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Men pay all the taxes. Men pay lifetime alimony. Men pay for dates. Women are oppressed.

[–]NeverNeverLandIsNow23 points24 points25 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Exactly. It’s a lot easier to drop everything and protest your ideological grievances when you’re living off the government teet.
