Mad Max scenario seems impossible. It won't be that apocalyptic.

In reality there is an economic "avalanche" building in the west. Arguably some of the snow has been piling since around 1913 with the start of the federal reserve and the political movement towards central-planning.

The First two world wars were medium snow-slides. The pressure shook loose a good size chunk of that economic pressure each time.

Right now there is so much economic pressure that a crisis the size of 2008 would end civilization as we know it.

The "too big to fail" institutions are now too big to bail. Hyperinflation is the last bullet Keynesian economists in charge of our lives have to solve even something half the size of 2008.

In my model of the world the longest fairy-tale projection for the west is 2028.

I put a 99% chance by the year 2023 and a 90% chance be 2021. To be honest I think 2019 is the big year but it could hypothetically happen in the next hour.

There's a real idiocracy developing, people do not seem to be getting smarter, but in fact survival of the fittest is favoring inbred middle eastern people and the poor.

Socialism is slowly being implemented and in effect the collapse of economies are happening like what we saw in Greece or Puerto Rico.

Culture has eroded completely though thanks to cultural Marxism, and the agenda to demoralize the country, which is leading to a great deal of personality defects which aren't helping anything.

An economic collapse is going to happen in the next 30 or so years, where we'll have problems beyond repair.

I personally blame the boomers, every president since Nixon, the bankers and every one else involved in running the dollar into the ground. Couple that with the culture that was created in the late 70s and throughout the 80s and the liberal universities pumping out retards, and you have every issue that this country faces.

According to Dr Joseph Tainter collapse is basically a rapid simplification of a complex society. In other words, at some point your ability to run and maintain all the complexity that the society has built up vanishes. And ours is a very complex society: The global supply chain, the internet, just in time delivery, The 100 mile Caesar sallad (Thanks Kunstler)... so on and son.

So obviously we are not there yet. These thing still operate. But one has to wonder for how long. I mean already we know that we have problems with currency, debt, energy, environment, economy... etc etc.. Plus now there are all the social issues as well ( feminism running rampant, families imploding, mass migration...) The cost of keeping this society running seem to be rising all the time and the average guy doesn't seem to get much out of this anymore. They have shifted all the costs of the society to workers and the shrinking middle class, while the benefits they get from society are vanishing. People at the top though still get a lot of benefits from keeping this system going. In other words, our elites are now corrupt as hell, which is typical for failing republics.

I think we are in the early stages of collapse. I am old enough to remember the Soviet collapse as well, and something similar to that is happening here in Europe. Our media is basically like Pravda now: It's just pumping kind words and propaganda to the people, to mask how bad the situation really is, and how the governments really have lost control in reality. All they have left now, is the ability to manipulate the media and print money. Another debt crisis, or migrant crisis and the whole thing could implode really quickly. In fact I am guessing the EU is already rigging elections here and preventing nationalists from winning. They have too much at stake here, to let another Brexit happen. But at the same time the cost of this gigantic EU government is too big for ordinary people to shoulder. We simply do not have the resources to carry all the debt and the insolvent banks on our backs. This is like a mathematical equation now: No matter how many times you calculate it: 2 – 2 is always 0. All the money printing in the world wont change the equation.

We are like a spoiled, third generation immigrant that has gotten fat off our father's hard work, and we've never lived a hard life, so we create all this conflict and drama within ourselves. Instead of going on a drug-fuelled binge or crashing the ferrari, we are engaging in arguments over petty things, that aren't really that hard to fix. It seems like we're in the "Decadence" phase - typically the phase that happens right before it all goes to shit (Roman Empire). But decadence phases have happened before, the Wiemar Republic in Germany right before WW2 for example, but we made it out of that okay eventually.

I don't think a Mad Max scenario is possible unless there's a nuclear war or a zombie apocalypse or something like that.

As silly as it sounds, I would welcome a collapse of civilization! Anything to throw a spanner in the works of my boring life would be good at this point.

I think we're seeing a new stage of independence arising. Women want more independence, men want more independence. The human species has been dependent on one another for all eternity. How does this work? It's painful, we're figuring it out.

I'm of the belief that technology is going to make this not just bearable to our psyches but make it irresistible. Would you rather slog along changing diapers and raising a child over 20 years in the real world? Or would you like to live the virtual highlight reel, with just enough "hardship" to make it feel hard won? Would you like to have sex with some compromises and a lot of give and take, or would you like to have sex where your virtual partner only exists to pleasure you and is constantly learning what you like, understanding it better than you ever could? Everyone on earth will want that.

It's Wall-E, right? And I think the epilogue to Wall-E is they give life in the real world a shot for a month, realize how much it sucks, then go back to their virtual worlds.

Social change isn't. It needs to fit a changing landscape brought about by over population, hedonism and technology.

Consider feminism - What started off as women's rights designated to address specific key issues with employment and discrimination. Post war feminism (1950's) - Cute and mundane.

2017 - There is no employment discrimination, no wage gap and no unfair treatment. On the contrary - XYZ - You get it......

But it's part of a social change (brought about by feminism). Males being partially obsolete.

Let me ask you, when was the last time you had to protect a woman? I'm 40 now, NOT EVEN ONCE. Do you think guys go around beating up women, so they need protection? What exactly do they need to feel safe from? White knights and phone culture ensure anyone breaking protocol gets shut down and recorded. It's community policing.

What about providence? Mid tier female office workers are earning the same as men, and that's where the majority of people now work in the service sector. Since factories are mostly automated.

Do they need a provider? What about men, now disenfranchised by cheap foreign labour or shitty immigration policies? The notion of stay at home moms is now a luxury or a compromise.

So what we have is feminism saying Women are basically men with a vagina. And they're not even wrong. Not in terms of classic role structuring. And yet like everything in life - there is corruption. They're selective (to date) about what roles they're willing to acknowledge. Eg: Compulsory military service - get the fuck out of here.

This social change is hard to accept for anyone who lived in the classic era, where there was a vast distinction between men and women, and I'll also say right now it's in it's infancy. The full spectrum metamorphosis is not even nearly complete.

EDIT: Wanted to add here - Consider the man children who get accused of doing nothing other than play video games, and accusations they're not real men. Really their fault? What the fuck else are they supposed to do. Women don't need them. Any attempt to take on a manly role is considered misogynistic. Even if they've never heard of feminism or mgtow or any other movement, they've never known what it means to have the manly role because NO WOMEN ENTRUSTS THEM WITH THIS. What they'll keep pushing - Genderless, colorless, and agnostic sexual preference. But there will always be resistance, constant pushback and drama.

Remember one thing the world is vastly overpopulated. We no longer need to breed as a prime directive. Some of us do sure. But not most of us, this gives philosophical leeway for same sex marriages etc. Sex becoming more of a pleasure utility rather than a reproduction tool.

Not really. We have time periods where women can get away with their bullshit because society in general is civilized enough to catch them when they fall. But when shit hits the fan, women cower and show their true nature. For example, when Rhonda Rousey had her first loss, she said she was desperate to have her boyfriend's baby. In terms of Post-Apocalyptic? Probably not, no. In terms of society breaking down and standards of living dropping? Definitely.

By 2030, it is projected that, of all households with children, ~30% will be single parent homes here in the United States. Given how stacked the court system is against men here in terms of child custody, you can be damn sure that "single parent" really means single mother. The result of these terrible choices (RE: Chad-chasing, majority of millennial women are even getting married at this point, so you can't blame the growth of single moms to divorce-related custody battles anymore) will have major effects on society. For one, single mother homes are a mess as far as mental issues in children go. In fact, the number one indicator as to the likelihood of a child to be a criminal delinquent, poor, and to drop out of High School is being raised in a single mother home.

In short, the problems we now see in Black communities throughout the United States, will be expanded outwards into a vastly larger portion of society. The effects of less educated and poorer future generations, combined with much higher crime rates is going to kill GDP growth quite obviously, and overall lower the standards of living for everyone quite obviously.

Now, you might be thinking, I'm MGTOW so I can probably get around most of this right? Unfortunately my brothers, you can't. Men are still the predominant taxpayers in society despite all those career women out there, so the rapid growth of single moms due to Chad Tingles means much higher taxes for us. How bad? "In fiscal year 2011, federal and state governments spent over $450 billion on means-tested welfare for low-income families with children. Roughly three-quarters of this welfare assistance, or $330 billion, went to single-parent families. Most non-marital births are currently paid for by the taxpayers through the Medicaid system, and a wide variety of welfare assistance will continue to be given to the mother and child for nearly two decades after the child is born. On average, the means-tested welfare costs for single parents with children amount to around $30,000 per household per year." With the exponential growth of single mother-households, and the already insane costs of them skyrocketing, you best believe taxes are going to go through the roof. In our gynocentric culture, ain't no one getting out of this one unscathed.

Oh, and another effect of all the Chad-chasing is the insane amount of STDs out there now. In fact, 80% of women will now at least have the HPV virus by the time they are 50, while 50% of the population at large will have some form of STD at some point in their life. Given the increasing surge in Hookup culture and the coming of un-treatable forms of currently common STDs, this problem will only get worse and increase healthcare costs and thus taxes as well. Given that the growth of monogamy (More on this one later) was partly driven by polygamy causing rampant STIs, this one should've been obvious to all to see it coming.

Just to recap with what we're seeing so far, within the next generation crime, poverty and STDs are going to absolutely skyrocket. This, combined with an absolutely crushing tax burden as well as astronomical medical costs, is going to kill not only GDP per capita, but overall kill the economy as consumer spending drying up. Sure, women will keep spending at their unsustainable rates, but that just means an enormous debt bubble will build up and eventually bust because the rules of economics don't give a flying fuck about your gender in the long run. In short, on these facts alone, our economy is fucked within the next 15 to 30 years.

We are actually screwed in several areas contemplate this we depend on positive population growth. Otherwise we can not sustain aging population needs with them being out of workforce. But planets limited in resources and space. As a result population growth is slowing. Which this ones a double edged sword damned if population grows beyond sustainable levels and damned if it doesn't keep growing.

Then comes automation its coming more and more things are able to be automated. There are so many tools and helpers now in programming. Realistically programmers are just debuggers. Simple programs are able to cut book keeping work into 1/3 of the work it was.

Not to mention unsustainable financial systems and policys being used by alot of governments. Now also contemplate racial/gender ramifications of the "minority" movement. Where it is perfectly acceptable to give favoritism and advantages to others. Think if right cards fall on this we could see emergence of domestic terrorism and possibly civil war.

Fact is worlds overdue unless we deal perfectly with each and ever single issue. I think sometime within our lifetime it is likely that we will be involved in one of the greatest upheavals/turmoil in our lifetime.

If men drop out, then we will see economic decline. It's already happening in Japan. What will happen is the economy will under perform. if a large number of men drop out, then the remaining working people will have to pay higher taxes to keep the welfare state going. Higher taxes means slower economic growth.

I think the institution of marriage is collapsing.

In human history all great societies eventually decay and collapse when things become to "easy" and women are granted too much power. Then new civilizations are born out of the hardships and the cycle repeats itself.

What is different this time is technology. We have the internet and all these modern marvels. And it is evolving exponentially. The world is interconnected like never before. I have a feeling that this could prevent a total collapse this time, such as the fall of the Roman empire. There will be setbacks to be sure but the introduction of our modern and transforming science and technology is an unknown factor that will probably radically change things in terms of a collapse. For instance, what will be the societal impact of AI and robotics? Genetic engineering? It will be huge and radically transforming. Better? Worse? dont know. But it sure will be interesting.

From a MGTOW/schadenfreude perspective, our technical/scientific revolution will soon END the power women have always had over men. By "soon" I mean within 100 years, probably a lot sooner. Just a blink in time for our civilization. The destruction of marriage/nuclear family is just the "canary in the coalmine". A harbinger of whats coming.

According to workopolis, your chance of getting a job interview is about 2%. This is what societal collapse looks like. An entire generation of young people are checking out of the system entirely. Trump is going back on all of his election promises as he learns what Obama learned 8 years ago - the system is broken and there is no possible way to change it.

I tie everything back to the economy because things like the economy set the tone for every conversation. Winning builds trust. Losing destroys trust. For example, during the late stages of WW1 when it was clear the central powers were losing, they started to blame each other. At the same time, the allies were slowly winning, and they started working together more and trusting each other more. This also happened in WW2. As the Soviets were pushing the Germans back, Stalin began to trust his generals more. As the Germans began to lose, Hitler became more paranoid and less trustful.

While the economy is bad, everyone is defensive and hostile. Men blame women for everything, women blame men for everything, people without kids blame the people who have kids, people with kids blame the people without kids, millennials blame the boomers, boomers blame the millennials. That is how you know the system is collapsing.
