In my new job, I've noticed that my colleagues like to talk a lot about their relationships and romantic aspirations. They have no idea that I rejected the plantation long ago. I've now been asked a few times whether I'm single or interested in someone, and my solutions so far have been:

  1. COVERT MGTOW: "No, I'm not seeing anyone at the moment. I guess you can't plan these things..."

  2. DISTRACTION: "No, I'm not seeing anyone at the moment". Then immediately talk about something else.

  3. IGNORING: focus on my work and don't join in the conversation.

  4. FLAT OUT DECEPTION: "Yeah I'm seeing someone at the moment. I'll see how it goes".

  5. DRAWING BOUNDARIES: There are one or two workers who I can see will press me. To them I will be honest, and simply say: "I don't normally talk about that aspect of my life at work".
