Maybe 50-60 years ago. With technology and the way they can track you it would be very difficult. Not sure what would be more stressful the divorce rape or running my entire life. Also identify theft is a crime so you’d end up in jail and still stuck paying that clown baby.

I had a fallback plan to simply build a small, waterproof underground shelter much like a spider hole (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider_hole) - except a little large and more permanent in an isolated high-elevation area that was not too far from a water source. Then spend $30,000 on credit cards for a 25-year supply of food in 300 7-gal Augason pails. Then spend the other $90,000 in available credit on stuff like tools, water purifiers, and gold bullion.

Then vanish and hide from other people forever.

Basically, an early retirement plan. I'd basically say fuck all to mortgage, student loans, truck loan, and credit cards.

As far as people who have left their country because of divorce, Hans Mills fled Canada after his epic divorce rape ( https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/lydia-lovric/deadbeat-dad-leaves-canada_b_1652713.html ) and moved to the Philippines. He is still there, and doing well; I emailed him a while back.

It only works if you do that in advance. You have to set your life up as someone else.

One of the things about changing your name and SSN in the U.S. is they look to see that you have outstanding debts/legal actions you're trying to escape. So you want to do it in advance to avoid future problems.

Of course, you can disappear easily just by using a fake name and cash transactions.

There seems to be a few articles last year on the subject of Johatsu ("evaporated people"), so it seems big enough of a thing in Japan to have a name for it. They don't specify divorce as a cause, but it seems people end up burnt-out on all the demands of keeping up with everything. (The writing would be on the wall for a divorce, given everything going on. But they simply drop out first.) Also it's mostly a men's issue (and considered a "soft" or social suicide), so that should give some idea.

It's not hard to disappear. What is hard is making it in the country you'll end up in. You could forget about doing that in a western country unless you have alot of money. I would try either South America or Asia somewhere. The more chaotic the country, the easier it will be to blend in. It'll be hard, easier to kill somebody, not that I would ever encourage it. wink wink
