I'd actually wonder what the graph would look like if all the women didn't have an ounce of make-up on. Pretty sure one half is about a 5 without, and some would put so much on she'd actually look better without any on. Would the graph more or less remain the same? Would it be closer to the way women rate men? Would it be the opposite? Too bad we will never know...

Haha I was literally about to make the same comment. I was shocked the first time I saw a hot girl literally become ugly when she took her make up off. And I mean she looked smoking hot. Make up is seriously magic.

Can someone explain this graph to me? I don’t understand
[–]imdirtydan198 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It’s showing how men and women rate the other sex. It goes from least attractive(left) to most attractive(right). It is showing that women never think any man is the most attractive but rather less attractive. And that men have more realistic and think that there actually is the most attractive.

It also shows the 80/20 rules. Judging by the graph, women view 80% of men as below average.

It shows the danger (for average-looking guys) of entering into a long-term relationship with a woman. See, if you are an average-looking guy, you might think it's simply a matter of finding an average-looking woman and pairing off.
What this graph shows is that most women find average-looking men to be unattractive. What that means is that if you are an average looking guy married to an average looking woman, there is a good chance she is not attracted to you and never was.
Why would a woman marry a man she finds unattractive? Financial support; social pressure to marry; etc.
At the same time, there are a lot of marriages where the wife is unenthusiastic about sex; cheats her husband or even gets pregnant from another man; files for divorce even though the man is not mistreating her; etc. A likely explanation for these situations is that the woman is not sexually attracted to her man.
Men need to realize that if they are average (or below average) in terms of physical attractiveness, it can be a real problem for their marriage. It can ruin things from the very beginning without the man having done anything wrong.

Its shows how women hardly see any men as very attractive. Hardly any, so according to this an average women would be disappointed with any guy other than the very top percent. Yet there aren't many of those so a big majority of women will end up disappointed and feel like they can do better than the guy they will realistically get. Bottom line, unless you are in the top few percent of most attractive guys then you girl won't be satisfied with you physically

Check it out its a laugh riot. Basically a group of women who believe the 180 degrees of right on any subject presented to them. Like the picture in op. They say it's an outright lie or that the 80-20 rule is reversed like only the top women can get men. It's the funniest sub I know lol

I'll have to check it out, I'm a huge fan of dating over thirty and nice girls. Is it as good as those?

Women are so unrealistic.

Definitely explains the high divorce rates and why women behave the way they do in relationships. In at least half of couples, the woman is settling for a guy she has little to no sexual desire for, which is a major factor behind so many problems -- cheating, high demands (he has to "compensate"), resentment, lack of affection, constant nagging, game playing, dead bedrooms/rationing sex, etc.
