At the end of the textbook there were worked out solutions to odd numbered problems. However there is one even numbered problem in calculus that is very difficult and there is no worked out solution. Teacher asks the class to put their minds together to solve the problem.

The teacher who is a feminist visits the class after one hour. Here are her findings

  1. Few guys attempted the problem independently with no collaboration and solved half of the problem.

  2. Few of them collaborated and solved 90% of the problem.

  3. Guys that worked independently said even if they couldn't arrive at solution, they take pride in the effort they have put in. They are willing to learn techniques of solving this problem and jump on to the next challenge that they may attempt.

  4. Two genius guys have completed the exercise in half the time and are moving on to the next set of problems.

Now guess what gals managed to do

  1. Few of them collaborated to write a small thesis why it is a grave injustice that problems are provided with no solutions.

  2. Patriarchy is responsible for problems at the end of textbooks. There should be no problems or exercises. It is triggering.

  3. Few of them talked about the problem for the complete hour. They empathized with each other. Also they complained that guys don't talk or open up themselves by talking about the problem. They attributed it to the societal expectations of men not showing their feelings. Few guys tried to correct them by saying that talking about problems will not solve them and is a useless exercise. But the gals persisted and gave labeled it as "Toxic masculinity"
