It's about incentives and motivations. In the past young men were encouraged to go out and become adults and start families. Since the majority of men did this, young men saw it as normal (get a job, buy a house, get married, have kids). Society celebrated responsible men who took care of their families and that created a validation loop where men gained pride from being dads and husband's.

But in the 60s women ended up marrying the government. The birth control pill and abortion basically gave women a license to be whores, no fault divorce gave women an opportunity to abandon their husband's and break up families, and child support basically turned men into slaves if they dared to try and be fathers.

Fast forward to modern day and society is constantly shitting on men and there's no incentive to move out and be a "real man". Men have no motivation to suffer or protect and provide because they know they'll get disrespected anyway. Why not be 40 living at home? Why not play video games all day? Who should a man make more than 40k? Why should a man want to participate in society?

You can't hold a gun to mens heads everyday and expect them to be excited and motivated to be productive.

There's no more rights of passage into manhood anymore because our society is so focused on making women happy and giving them the freedom to live without consequences.

Im 40 and I don't care anymore. I only work as hard as I have to and have no problem living in my parents basement if I had to. There's no shame anymore because the world is upside down and no one respects men anyway. Im living my life for me and no one else's opinion matters and i know many other men feel the same way.

But We don't give enough of a fuck to mention that women comprise 57% of all college students, 9.4M vs 7.1M. College has become one of the most toxic environments against males.

Women's only scholarships eventhough women are the majority of college students
Being a woman being a +1 in hiring in that age demographic, where generally demographics are equal
Women being preferred for an overwhelming majority of customer service jobs (which are a huge CoR expense in Software / Tech)

Living at your parents house rent free is a HUGE boon. It's ENORMOUS help at the start, when you're most likely not making much and have to be strategical with limited resources.

This is what happen when you punish a man for being a man. Why bother when you know you'll just be put down constantly.

I tried to go back to college and work a retail job because it gave a major discount. The women there had no idea what they were doing, but we're all in management positions. It was a complete mess, and not something I would want my son deal with. Let him stay at home as long as he's moving forward, and seeing the world around him for what it is.

There's no reward for following the Life Script anymore. No more carrot on the end of the stick. If you ain't got the looks, the only women you'll "attract" with a good job are jaded settlers or mercenary gold diggers, and those types are nothing but a drain on your life. Plus, good jobs are getting harder and harder to get.

They're always quick to trot out the harm men are doing to the economy by not slaving away. Why should they give a shit? The main beneficiaries from a booming economy are the rich, while the poor stay poor and the middle class get poorer.
