God damn, my CEO is the classiest man I've never met.

So I'm in the office pulling some late night overtime getting a project done (and redditing when my eyes feel like they will start to bleed.) And I decided to take a self guided tour of the executive offices. In the 3 years I've been here I've never seen the top floor so it was a good opportunity.

My CEO is a self made man from humble origin. Now I'm in his old age he's a multibillionare who owns several businesses in different markets. He bought this land and contracted the office to his design. This place is a fucking theme park for cigar chomping tycoons. This guy has a room with an indoor putting green, a fucking scotch and whisky bar, AND A PRIVATE BATHROOM COMPLETE WITH A WALK IN SHOWER!

Of course I kept my hands to myself outside of turning the lights on. But I can't help but be in awe over a man I've never met. Fuck, what do I have to do to become this?

Fuck, what do I have to do to become this?

Become a multi-billionaire, of course.

I find it interesting that you associate materialism with class. From what I have experienced, I am willing to bet your boss didn't get to where he is today and without screwing a LOT of innocent people over in order to make that money.

I dislike that method of thinking that anyone rich must have somehow done something wrong to earn it. No one is perfect. So even if he is a guy with some flaws, so are all of us. Look at the Beanie babies buy who became a BILLIONAIRE during that craze; He didn't fuck anyone over, he just capitalized on a trend at the right time -- then squandered all of his money into bankruptcy, but still.

Anybody who opened up a corporation has definitely done lots of sleazy shit behind the scenes. The Beanie Babies guy didn't run an office.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

I didn't say he did. I just said that if you're rich it doesn't mean you did something wrong. But no, just because you're a CEO does not mean you did something wrong IMO. Agree to disagree I guess, but that's just too broad and strong of a statement to label on everyone whose a part of that group for me.

Wrong actually. I've heard multiple stories about him. When one of the receptionists was diagnosed with cancer he made a trip to her bedside. I'm not saying he's never fucked anyone over, but I haven't heard of him fucking over his own people which is what matters to me. Just about everyone here speaks about him as if he's a God amongst men.

As for me appreciating his material possessions, 1) you don't know what I'm looking at and 2) save your teen angst for someone that's impressed by it.

I didn't say he fucked his own people over. How would he build an empire then? I said he didn't make a billion dollars without fucking innocent people over.

I'm going to have to ask you to show documentation that proves these people (whom neither of us know) are as innocent as you think they are.

Look man, we're getting off on the wrong foot here and I'm probably coming off harder than I should. But I just got home from a 13 hour shift and wanted to make a post about my appreciation of the product of a man's life's work. This shit really is incredible. Furthermore isn't "fuck bitches, make money" a favorite line amongst MGTOW? This man did just that. Yet I'm feeling like you're trying to high road me for being impressed by something that is impressive.

My former CEO was literally a shareholder in the Panama Papers scandal. Every single corporation is designed to suck up money in order to survive. That's why sales are the #1 priority. And it can't be hundreds of dollars per day, it needs to be thousands of dollars per day in order to justify the corporation's existence. So yeah, your CEO definitely made a billion dollars by putting money over people first. You're kidding yourself if you think his main goal is anything except the bottom line figures. Have you done any research into his past? Or did you just see what the room he created for his own comfort & luxury looks like and get stars in your eyes, while the rest of you lowly peons work for him in offices of far lesser quality?

The fact of the matter is, money is a pyramid scheme. And in the 21st century, the 1% have acquired 93% of the worlds wealth. 8 multibillionaires have as much money as 50% of the worlds population. There are even articles asking "Where has all the gold disappeared to?" So yes, ALL billionaires got that amount of money by sleazy underhanded tactics.

As for "Fuck bitches, acquire currency", the line isn't "Fuck bitches over, acquire their currency." Let me know how you really feel about him a few years from now when the rose coloured glasses fall from your eyes.

Alright man, you win. I'm seriously too tired for this shit right now. I'm off to play some games before passing out. Thanks for shitting on my post and mood with your anti-corporate bullshit at 3 in the morning. Night.

Good night.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

hes right. hundreds of thousands of humans are suffering somewhere on this earth so that one person can be a multibillionaire. to build a company that extracts all those resources from the planet, and we aren't just talking about resources for him personally, we are talking about resources for his entire company, which, if he is able to pay himself in the multibillions, then his company must be raking in 10 times that amount atleast. its likely on his way up, he had to directly do some shady things, but at this point its likely that his companies just indirectly ruin lives.

Exactly, thank you. Gotta look at the whole picture. I was once in love with the corporate world too. In fact I'd say it's a pretty important part of blue pill brainwashing. It's not that I'm telling OP to quit, I know he needs to make a living, but man if he could see what this corporate worship is doing to his soul he would thank me for shitting on this thread someday.

U can't create jobs w/o prioritizing monetary gain. It's a cruel world. Within injustice there is justice.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy Link

Or he had a lot of help from family, friends, who knows ...

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

It took me a while to accept that wealth is something to be celebrated. Honestly earned wealth. That takes non-stop work, gut-wrenching negotiations, navigating intrigues shit, not just working 5 days and resting 2 days. I aspire to that, I just don't know what the heck I want to do yet.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Why are so many people falling into this new ager line of BS that making money is bad? There is nothing wrong with making money if made honestly. You are right the people that are CEOs and other high positions have a completely different work ethic than regular people. They work constantly and don't do the 9-5 routine. Sacrificing vacations, working on holidays, etc. Its unfathomable to most folk so they just say "that rich guy must be a crook".

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy Link

So what? Does that useless shit really make you happy?

[–]ManIsWalking[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy Link

Are you saying that if I was to give you 5 billion dollars you wouldn't be happy?

Idk, if wishing I was filthy fucking rich every once and a while makes me a bad guy, guess I'll need to grow a moustache to twirl.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Well it's not that 5 billion would make me happy, yet things like an indoor putting green and a walk in shower seems rather useless to me, a waste of resources and space. It's put there because the man didn't know what the fuck he has to do with his money so it's more about spending it than putting it to use for better purposes.

Now... ask yourself WHY he has all of that at his office and not at his home.

And when you do the mental work to answer that question, don't stop with the first theory that seems to "fit" the facts... keep going until you have several different ones.

Then do some additional research on him -- find out some additional data -- and see which of those prior "theories" still hold up or "fit" that extra data.

Chances are you do NOT necessarily want to follow the same life path.

Fuck, what do I have to do to become this?

Become a sadistic sociopath. You can no longer become rich through honest integrity.

You have to take risks

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
