Rose has a priceless necklace she could've used to keep her husband working his whole life and make her family's life great. Nope. Just hold it until you're barely able to walk and throw it to the bottom of the ocean.

*I used to see that moment as a beautiful romantic gesture that only women are capable of cause they were obviously higher beings. Now I see it as an incredibly childish and stupid act. Women are so stupid and childish it's unbelievable.

I'm sorry for what I am. He kill'd em with they love. That's how it is every day all over the world.

I have not seen the whole movie, and also maybe i'm just not seeing it. But, what does that line mean, " He kill'd em with they love."?

It's a pretty central part of the movie. Without getting into the whole plot of the movie, John Coffey was charged with murder of two little girls and the real murderer used the girls love of each other to keep them quiet. He explained it as "he killed them with they love". When Tom Hanks grasped his hand at the end right before calling for the electricity, John Coffey telepathicly said that phrase again as I typed it up.

Ah, that makes more sense, I was actually confused at why he was put on death-row as well, I figured it was something along those lines.

This is why I'm against the death penalty. You cannot undo death if you later discover evidence that proves innocence.

I forget the actors name. But he passed away a few years ago.

Beautiful movie

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
