Disclaimer - i'm a newb.

The common attribute i've read from the success stories here is "I developed sound judgement, and something happened that made it possible to act accordingly".

So as per King Solomon, "Wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom".

The details of how to do that are likely to be unique to your situation and upbringing, but a decent starting point would be to get an honest inventory of what you have, where you are and *why* you want what you want:

• Your stuff
  • Is it stuff you actually want, or stuff your situation means you have to put up with?
  • what stuff gives you enjoyment directly ( e.g. your dog)?
  • what stuff only enables you to enjoy things (e.g. your tools)?
• Your skills or lack of
  • Some boys legitimately have never said 'no' to a woman, either because they'd be punished (mom) or it never occurred to them ("pretty" girl). This has to be learned before more dramatic decisions like celibacy become practical. It's no challenge to say "no" when there's no decision to make, quite another when someone wants you to say 'yes' to their benefit.
• your demons, e.g. absence of self confidence, defensiveness caused by childhood trauma
  • "A pretty girl I liked and talked to when I was young got well reamed by some guy because I wasn't good enough" - Variants of this internal dialogue
  • "I've never met a man who was worth admiring or emulating, so i'll try and be what women want since I don't know any better" - This is a cultural thing but may apply to you
• the specific things that you're weak to, e.g. vulnerable blondes, prone to foolishness whilst drunk, prone to quitting projects half way
• The factors in your environment which you have no direct control, have not yet taken direct control or have not fully fortified yourself against
  • In your specific case, can you leave the country if the need arises? Do you have access to funds not liable to getting frozen?
  • Are there any illnesses in your family history that might affect your testosterone?
• Why you want what you want
  • "I grew up poor and had to scrounge, now I have steady income and can buy whatever I want" - High risk of hoarding for its own sake following a lack of acclimatisation to even moderate prosperity
  • "Women rejected me, so i'm going to reject them" - valid, but perhaps not the surest foundation of celibacy
  • "I've never wanted for anything, but life is losing its flavor" - Risk of chasing the next high to satisfy urges or appetites which developed at the wrong time

And so on and so on.

You know your abilities better than I, but i'd suggest that trying to solve everything at once if you've not developed the right habits and mindset is a risky proposal.
