Not even joking... a woman back then probably could chase someone down in heels. They might as well have been a different species than the women we have today. Women raised during the depression didn't complain about work and they certainly weren't narcissistic bitches wrapped up in their cell phones. When their boyfriends and husbands went off to war, they rolled up their sleeves and took the factory jobs their husbands left, not bullshit office jobs like today where they're paid to socialize and "network."

My grandma would work a shift at the hospital, pick up my dad, and still have dinner on the table by the time my grandpa got home.

They literally do not make them like that anymore.
