Christ. The worst part about this is the narcissism on display. The only reason she did this was because she thought it would get her a few reactions on instagram. I remember a time when people harmed their kids to at least teach them a lesson or maybe for some other constructive reason. This is just pathetic.

This isnt exclusive to single moms. When he was a little over 1 year old, my aunt (whom I love dearly) got so frustrated by her son always reaching out for his father's cigarette when he smoked (this was in the days before science discovered the dangers of secondhand smoke) that she plucked the lit cigarette out of his hand and stuck in my cousin's mouth. What she didn't think of was that the baby woukd instantly suck in a breath and start choking.

Somehow, when the family reminisces about that story, we seem to laugh more about the baby actually sucking on the cigarette and breathing its fumes in more than the fact that his mother stuck a cigarette in his mouth.

My cousin is a hardcore smoker now BTW. But I'm sure it has to be his father's fault for always smoking but denying his son a puff.
